First, let me reflect on how far I’ve come. I’ve been on Hive for just 9 months now, and last year I achieved one of my most important goals: accumulating over 1,000 Hive Power (HP). To some, it might not seem like much, but for me, it was a huge milestone that was made possible through dedication and consistency.
How did I achieve this? Well, the strategy was simple. I participated in power-ups as often as possible, by taking advantage of Power Up Day events and opportunities to grow my HP. I also made it a habit to set my some of my posts to 100% power-up instead of taking liquid rewards.
Now that 2025 is here, I’ve set my sights on even bigger goals for the platform. This year, I plan to push myself further and make an even bigger impact on my Hive journey.
Reaching Over 2,000 HP Before My First Anniversary
One of my top priorities is to accumulate 2,000 HP before I officially clock one year on Hive in May 2025. Currently, I have 1,297 HP, and I’m determined to keep pushing in the remaining months until I cross this milestone. Having a lot of Hive power is very important to me. I’ve learned that increasing my HP does not only boosts my curation rewards but also strengthens my ability to engage with and support other creators. To achieve this goal, I’ll continue participating in Power Up Days, set some of my posts to 100% power-up, and become more active on the platform.
Accumulating about 400 HBD
Last year, my focus was entirely on powering up my Hive tokens, so I didn’t pay much attention to keeping a lot of Hive Backed Dollars (HBD) in my wallet. But during this new year, I want to take a different approach. My goal is to accumulate at least 400 HBD. I’ve realized the importance of having liquid funds, and with HBD’s interest, locking a substantial amount amount of it in my savings will definitely be a smart move.
Posting More Video Content
When I joined Hive in May 2024, my very first post was a video of me singing. At the time, I was full of excitement and ready to share my creativity with the world. However, as time went on, I discovered my passion for writing and gradually shifted my focus to that. This year, I want to bring videos back into my content.
Moving from Minnow to Dolphin
One of my long-term goals on Hive is to move up the ranks and officially become a Dolphin. To do this, I’ll need to surpass 5,000 HP, which means staying consistent with power-ups and maximizing my earnings. The idea of leveling up and gaining more influence within the Hive community motivates me to keep going, and I believe 2025 is the year I can make it happen.
In conclusion, I’m excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead this year. I actually have a lot to look forward to this year and with time, i hope to achieve achieve these goals to the best of my ability.
