There are lots of mosques in Indonesia with architectural and design styles that are extraordinarily beautiful, one of which is the Ruhamah Mosque which is in the Center of Takengon City, this mosque is also used as a large mosque in Takengon City.
What is unique and beautiful about the Ruhamah Mosque is its extraordinary architectural style, from the big picture we can see that this mosque was built in the shape of a large cube with one giant dome and four other small domes on it.
The entire mosque is painted in a slightly yellowish cream color, the dome is painted in copper color with a red flower motif which makes the overall appearance of this mosque truly very spectacular when viewed.
On the front side of the mosque is made with a large cube-shaped architecture with two giant windows which are carved with typical Arabic calligraphy frames, all parts of the walls are also carved with calligraphy frames which make it look so aesthetically pleasing.
One of the most beautiful architectural parts of this mosque is the main entrance which is made from three sides of the mosque, this entrance is made with a large box-shaped architecture and design that has three layers. The size of this door is very large with a length range of almost 5 meters and to enter we need to climb several stairs.
Above each entrance is decorated with a small red dome which makes the whole design look beautiful and pleasing to the eye.
Next to the main entrance, we will be shown again with the design of three very iconic big windows, the edges of these windows are painted in black and cream, while the middle part of the window is engraved with a calligraphy frame.
While on the left side it is also decorated with windows as I said above but here I see there are four windows. At the top of these windows are also decorated with small domes that line up neatly.
Before entering the mosque, I saw that there was a small, cube-shaped building that was made elongated at the back of the mosque. When I got closer, I found out that this was a place for ablution and toilets. The architecture and design of this building also looks beautiful, look at the doors and windows in this ablution area, all of which are painted in two tones of black and cream which make it look like zebra skin from afar but very iconic.
All the edges of the doors, windows and walls in this toilet section are painted in cream color to match the mosque building which is the main building in the Ruhama Mosque complex. Every wall and corner of the toilet is also decorated with carved claigraphic frames that make the view look perfect.
There is one more unique and beautiful building that is outside this mosque, namely the hall for resting which is made with the architecture and design of Aceh houses or what is commonly called a house on stilts. This large hall is painted with brown wood throughout all parts with black tiles that make it look beautiful when viewed.
So, now we will go inside to see the beauty of the architectural style and design from inside the Ruhamah Mosque, when we first enter we will be greeted with three large sliding wooden doors with carved motifs typical of the city of Takengon.
At the top of the door is also designed with a beautiful carving in the shape of a sun star in his hand. After passing through this door, we will immediately be greeted by the amazing views that are in this mosque's room.
This spacious room can accommodate worshipers up to 2,000 people, the design inside this mosque is really very spectacular and beautiful, there are so many large pillars that are made to support the entire building of this mosque to make the architecture of the building strong.
Even though the design of the pillars is only circular, it still looks beautiful because the lower and upper ends are painted in gold. All parts of the interior walls of this mosque are decorated with Arabic calligraphy and writing.
The calligraphy frame on this wall is painted green with a combination of gold calligraphy writing making the overall view of this wall very spectacular and beautiful to look at, at the top of this calligraphy wall is also decorated with windows which are designed to line up neatly from end to end with smooth edges. painted in black and cream stripes.
The carpet part of this mosque is also designed very beautifully, the combination of green and gold colors of this carpet is in line with the overall color of the mosque which makes the view look elegant.
What makes the view inside this mosque look perfect is that it is under this giant dome which is right in the middle of the mosque or in the heart of this Ruhamah Mosque. The calligraphy carvings in green, yellow, blue, cream and brown at the bottom of the dome make the view look very spectacular.
Then in the middle of the inside of this dome is also decorated with a giant hanging crystal chandelier which is very beautiful and has made it one of the iconic designs on the inside of this mosque, from here we can also see that all around the circle the inside walls are painted with colorful calligraphy. very beautiful colour.
Before going home, I also wanted to see the design and architecture of the outer gate to enter this mosque, to enter the mosque there are three main gates, two at the back and one at the front. The entire gate is painted in gold to match the color of the mosque building.
However, the architectural style and design of this gate is very beautiful in my opinion, apart from the main entrance in the middle on both sides of the gate there are also two small doors, so one gate has three entrances. Each entrance is designed with an open dome-like shape, and the top is decorated with one large dome and four small domes.
