Feels good to resume on to great things like hive after a shuffle in personal life.
To earn the blessings of almighty, I along with my family went to Delhi's most prominent Gurudwara- "Bangla Sahib".
The beauty of this divine place is unbelievable. The people who visits Delhi always makes a point to visit bangala sahib just to admire the historic beauty.
Basically Punjabi preaches god- 'waheguru' and worships in Gurudwara which are basically sikh's temples. But many people believe in each and every religion's temples and visits there to secure faith and love for almighty. We love visiting there not just because we are Punjabi hindu but also we believe every religion to be one or the same thing and just goes wherever it feels good vibes.
This place has a long history of being a savour of the city. Many years ago this place was a bungalow (in hindi- Bangla) of Raja jaysingh who had a guru as a guest for few time at his place. The guru was Guru harkrishan who was a saint.
Unfortunately back then the city experienced small pox epidemic which killed people in millions. then Guru Harkrishan ji with his divine power dig a well in the bungalow and blessed it and made it holy water.
Who so ever drank it became free from the disease and that's how this place became holy.
As you might have understood by the history just explained that this place consists of holy water which till date is preached. So, here's how the pond looks like now-
With all marble pavements, the sarovar is surrounded by wide pathway and covered seating which is used for silence meditation. every person is welcomed here to to stay during day.
The sarovar even have beautiful fishes and during day, people can bath in the water and there are clean changing areas for everyone.
This is considered holy, many people drink this water as well. but people mind that this exact water is not used for drinking but the actual well is smaller and is just besides this pond, the water from that well never finishes up miraculously and some of the water form that well is pumped to this pond for people to dip in.
but the actual well is well protected to avoid any mishapenings as it is too deep. That is the water we get to drink and many volunteer called as 'sevadar' serves water from the pond to people visiting Gurudwara.
One can notice people serving water , this is how beautifully the well is protected.
You barely might have seen actual gold over a structure, yes we had so many monuments and temples which were all gold and gemstone studded which were unfortunately looted. There's a reason why my country India was known as ' Sone ki chidiya" ( bird of gold)!
This Gurudwara has actual gold plating over it's structure, the goal is to fully cover the marble to a gold plating. which I donot know when will get accomplished but the actual dome and the inner part of the gurudwara is gold plated.
You aren't believing it?
Here's the evidence-
The architecture is beautifully done, The interior is lavishing shows the skills of labour and the designer. Although it was designed many years ago but it's very sturdy and now being gold plated.
Above being gold plated, it has centralised ac and is very beautiful.
You might be thinking, is every donation is used on renovating structure, what about poor and needy?
Let me tell you a secret( which is not so secret)
The gurudwara premises feeds breakfast, lunch and dinner to thousands of people each day! which is called Langar. it's healthy food.
It allows everyone, to stay at gurudwara. They have created a building separately for needy and homeless. They even opened a diagnostics hospital which provides different diagnostics in less than a dollar.
And so many more unsaid endeavours.
Let's levitate towards some Architectural pleasant details-
The moment I observed the beautiful details of the gurudwara's structure, I just felt more in love with the place.
How mind blowing are the details, It was such an amazing experience clicking some closeups. Everything is made up of white marble and looks so delicate at the same time.
The ceiling is double heighted as visible, the mezzanine level was earlier open for every one but is now closed, maybe security reason.
There should be discipline maintained at all costs. Also some part of the structure was lit with pink lights which looked incredible.
It looked beautiful.
All in all an architectural marvel!
The exit was somewhat exciting and appealing at the same time-
The marble arches are stunning as we went during late evening, it wasn't much crowded but people comes here daily in large numbers. It's gates are open 24/7 for everyone but the main structure where god resides closes after 11pm and opens up at 4 am.
Also, if you are having your own vehicle. donot resist to bring it up here due to its free of cost multilevel parking, your vehicles are safe. Also there is huge connectivity of metro and local buses.
Have faith in heart and enjoy the holy presence and the marvellous architecture at Delhi's Bangla Sahib.
Do you have such incredible structure in your city?
