is not about designing something from a free and fanciful idea. It is about discovering and establishing the principle itself, some kind of regularity.

Hello fellow architecture and design lovers, I hope you are in good health, well-being and prosperity. In this opportunity after a long time without writing in this community, I share with you a building that is located in my city which caught my attention for its style and design.
It is a building located in the center of Cumaná, where the largest number of commercial establishments and a large influx of people converge due to its great development of economic activity.

I have passed many times by the front of this building and it is impossible not to stop to observe it, the facade despite being simple is striking not only for the triangular shape and rectangular termination in the upper center, also the location of the windows give the impression of being a church or convent, the design that has the building is unique in the city so far I have not seen another similar.

This building is brick-colored on the front and light yellow on the sides. It has three levels and a first floor. In addition, the facade has a glass front door and a window to close it.
Each level of the building has three glass windows with aluminum frames in the shape of a rectangle. On the sides and in the center at the top, there are headlights to illuminate and beautify the area at night.

This building has granite stairs and concrete walls that lead to the levels. The handrails are made of wood and the railings of wrought iron that give us more confidence and security when climbing each floor.

On one of the levels there is a unisex hairdressing salon with glass doors and wrought iron railings. It is worth mentioning that this commercial establishment performs haircuts, ironing, drying, hair surgery and even manicures and pedicures.

One of the things that most caught my attention in this building is a space that allows us to breathe fresh air, since there is a beautiful garden with plants that we regularly plant in our city, such as the palm tree. I was also impressed to see in this space plants that we use to prepare delicious recipes in the kitchen such as the Chinese octopus which is very noble and versatile in any presentation. To adapt the place for the purpose of creating a garden, several concrete rectangles were made and filled with sand. I could also see that other plants were placed in pots.

This building besides being a commercial establishment on the first floor, also in the remaining levels there are several businesses such as beauty, modeling academy and even there we can find offices attached to the regional ante.

It is a structure with concrete walls and reinforced concrete foundations. This building has many glass doors with aluminum grilles. It also has wooden doors with wrought iron railings. On most of the floors where the offices are located there are air conditioners (the heat is very intense) with wrought iron grills in order to protect the equipment.

Personally I liked this building because it is not very common in my city since it gives us a style in the form of a cathedral whose terminations at the top have a geometric figure that I love and fascinates me as is the triangle.

God bless you and see you in the next tour.

This building looks old, visible from the facade of the building @virgilio07

Hi @maytom thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. It certainly is a very striking building for its facade.

the location of the windows give the impression of being a church or convent

I'm also inclined to look at it that way because of the building's imposing facade. It must have been an initial challenge for the Architect to design such a small skyscraper to fit a narrow piece of land. Do you think so too @virgilio07?

Hi @storiesoferne the architect had to be very resourceful to make good use of the space and build this beautiful building.

Regards

I agree and it shows in the actual work. Impressive! 👍
