At The Mall, WTC
Hello, Shadow Hunters! It's been a while. I really have to get this one out, or else another Shadow Hunter week will pass and this will just sleep in my drafts. 🥲
For this week's Shadow Hunters Round, I am coming off from our recent visit to the WTC Mall. We passed there before going to the Children's library to buy a gift for my cousin who celebrated her 5th birthday over the weekend.
It was around 2pm and beautiful shadows were cast from the roofing of the mall, so I had to take the opportunity to take some photos. Hey, I can't let this pass for the shadow hunters, right?!
I looked up and realized, after coming here many, many times over the past forever that there were round transparent roofing panels at this part of the mall, near the food court.
The sunlight filtering through the roofing panels and walls created shapes on the floor. These shadows not only enhance the visual appeal of the space but also provide a sense of openness and airiness that is often missing in enclosed shopping centers. They give natural light to this part of the mall.
As we crossed from the food court to the shops side of the mall, there were even more shadows from the wall. They give off a light glow from these tall glass walls.
"Mommy, you keep on taking pictures!" Little Miss said.
"Sorry, I've got to take these for the Shadow Hunters," I said. ✌️
We finally got what we went here for and we did not stay in the mall for long. We just grabbed a few snacks before we headed out to the Library.
But before that, I had to quickly take this photo to give you a perspective of this area where the food court is located.
The food court is actually a bridge that connects the two sides of the mall - The Souq and The Mall. The Souq gives a more traditional Arabic shopping experience, with clothes, spices, perfumes, antiques, carpets, etc.
That's about it for this week's shadow adventure. Hope you all are having a fantastic week so far.
