The Mind Museum
Hello, Shadow Hunters! How has it been? It's like I'm being thrown around in all directions, and with everything that's been happening, my Hive posting has taken a back seat.
It's been a while since my last contribution to the Shadow Hunters community, and this time I would like to share some photos from our recent visit to the Mind Museum.
The museum was honestly a great place to hunt for beautiful shadows, but I have battery constraints, so I tried to limit taking pictures using my phone. Besides, the museum was best experienced hands-on, so I guess it's for the better.
Shadow Box
The Mind Museum features a space called, The Shadow Box, which has phosphorescent walls.
All we had to do was stand between the light and the wall, do some wacky poses, and our shadows would be imprinted on the wall for about 15 seconds.
We had to be quick to think of cool poses, else it would be just like this:
Lol. We just raised our hands and yeah, that was it. Lame. 😅😂🤪
Here is a description of how the shadow box works.
Magic Screen.
Then there was this Magic Screen (?), I forgot how it was exactly called.
There were some laminated sheets that were on a table that visitors can decorate and color. And when they place the sheets on the projector, these would come alive on the screen.
Here, you'll see Little Miss checking out the creatures on the projector screen with her shadows on it.
Shape Emporium
Here's one for the little kids. It's colorful and full of shape manipulatives on the table. I think they also got some cool shadows here. 😉
I guess that's it for our quick exploration.
Don't forgeto to check out Shadow Hunters Round 351 and join the fun!
