Nice reflections in a sad place

in #hive-1790172 months ago

Hi,

A few days ago, I went to pay my condolences to some family friends at the mortuary for the loss of life of one of their grandchildren, who had suffered from cerebral palsy since he was born.

Due to the large number of visitors, I decided to leave the room where the family was and went for a long time to another area of the mortuary to wait for fewer people and to be able to continue accompanying the relatives.

During my wait, I sat down on some sofas near the information room of the mortuary and saw that the floor reflected the lights on the ceiling in a very striking way, giving a feeling of great depth to the hall when in reality they are not great.

During the wait I went to another area of the mortuary which was also empty, as the previous sofa was not comfortable, and I sat down on some armchairs with the surprise of having some reflections to hunt for again.

After an hour's wait, and after the first barrage of visitors had passed, I was able to spend some time with family friends before going home and making dinner for them and my mother to take home for when they returned home after a day of desolation for all of them.

Best regards.

Oh I loved the photos of the reflection you got, even in a delicate and sad situation like the one you are telling us about.

The first image is very inspiring, I like the orange tone of the light.

Thanks for your comment.

Very cool reflection at initial glance it appeared to look like railroad tines painted.

I guess this light is but a reminder of how delicate our lives is. When turned off we will just be gone, pooof! Just like that. So we must always continue to shine on to others to be beacons of kindness, love, hope, empathy to everyone.
So sad to what happened to your friend's grandchild. How old was the kid? It just pains me when I hear children or young adults passes on for they have not experienced life fully and then they were taken away back to the fold.

He was 20 years old. But his life was complicated by cerebral palsy from birth.

The last 9 years were especially difficult.
