The shadow is ofcourse me, and I am not a ghost. But I was taken the photo in a ghosttown calles Kolmanskop. You will find it in southern Namibia, only 10 kilometers from the town Luderitz. As you see, I am walking in sand in an abandoned house. Kolmanskop was a prospererous mining town from around 1908, when the first diamond was found and untill 1956 when the last person left. It was a wealthy town where the citizens had everything. Like hospital. Bowling alley, ice factory, a tram. But the town is surrounded by desert. When the people left, they left most of their belonges behind them. The sand from the desert has more or less filled the houses with sand. A facinating place I visited twice. The second visit was early in the morning when it was completely empty. Quite spooky! It was so quiet. I thought I was alone, but when I was bending my head to get into one of the houses, a man was on his way out. We both jumbed, but we both realized we were there to take photographs with no other people around.
