La Laguna Mucubaji, se encuentra en el estado Mérida en Venezuela, es un atractivo turistico del Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada, que se encuentra enclavado en la Cordillera de los Andes de este país sudamericano. A pesar de los bajos niveles de agua del parque por culpa del calentamiento global, para nadie es un secreto que esta maravilla tiene no sombras, sino espejos en donde la naturaleza se replica en el agua. Tenía algo más de 20 años sin visitar este sitio y pues, da tristeza ver que el agua en nivel no tenga los mismos de años de otrora. Aún así, vale la pena ver como nos extasía ver las bellezas que aún sobreviven en esta era tan contaminante...
Laguna Mucubaji, located in the state of Mérida in Venezuela, is a tourist attraction in the Sierra Nevada National Park, which is located in the Andes Mountains of this South American country. Más espejos, porque espejos es lo que refleja lo poco que queda de agua de esta hermosa laguna. Espejos silenciosos que se van haciendo más pequeños para reflejar lo hermoso de este paisaje. A mi esposa le comentaba que a este ritmo, hay que paorvechar los próximos diez años para volver a venir antes que la laguna se seque. El clima es templado, muy frío y aunque llegamos a las siete de la mañana, provocaba quedarse todo el día para seguir viendo y tomando fotos. Vaya que las fotos se quedan pequeñas para estas maravillas cuando uno las ve en vivo y en directo...

The climate is temperate, very cold and although we arrived at seven in the morning, it meant staying all day to continue seeing and taking photos. Muchos más espejos, aunque dicen que aún con contaminación, en diciembre, supuestamente aquí cae nieve. No hace falta visitar las montañas de Canadá ni los Alpes Suizos, cuando Mérida ofrece paisajes que también son hermosos a los de cualquier parte del planeta. La ventaja de tener estos sitios es que uno puede viajar a bajo costo y compartir en familia y con amigos. Lo importante es querer nuestras bellezas nacionales para poder entender y apreciar lo de afuera. Muchas veces nos abrumamos por conocer lo de afuera sin nisiquiera saber apreciar todo aquello que tenemos adentro y por dentro nuestro. Es una lástima que estemos con esto del calentamiento global y el punto de no retorno ambiental, y en los próximos años, si el hombre no cuida lo que tiene, será un instrumento de autodestrucción. Por eso será que en este momento es mejor quedarnos con estos espejos que el creador nos dió para cuidarlos y entender su poder artístico y mágico...

There is no need to visit the mountains of Canada or the Swiss Alps, when Mérida offers landscapes that are also beautiful to those of any part of the planet. The advantage of having these places is that one can travel at a low cost and share with family and friends. The important thing is to love our national beauties to be able to understand and appreciate what is outside. Many times we become overwhelmed by knowing what is outside without even knowing how to appreciate everything we have inside and within us. It is a shame that we are dealing with global warming and the environmental point of no return, and in the coming years, if man does not take care of what he has, it will be an instrument of self-destruction. That is why at this moment it is better to keep these mirrors that the creator gave us to take care of them and understand their artistic and magical power...
