My first photo in this post is my entry into the Shadow Hunters Contest, round 206 run by @melinda010100. (The Thumbnail is different)
And it depicts the Shadows, that a large pergola creates, on the walkway along “The Passeo del Muelle Uno” and on itself.
Its design looks like a large wave you can follow by looking up and down where you see the shadows on the walkway flowing like a wave. 🌊
It’s beautiful to see it changing in different light. Both the structure and the shadows.
Muelle UNO was built in 2011 and they added shops and restaurants to it. This part is quay2 of the Port of Málaga. I visited it many times when I lived in Málaga city and afterwards, it is a vital part of Málaga city and a nice walk around. The Pompidou Museum is also located here.
I do notice that the shops and restaurants have changed a lot, over the last 6 years every time I visit it.
I even had an exhibition with my artworks here, when the art gathering space was still in existence. {Re}unión de creadores May 2015.
Back to the Muelle Uno:
If you sit at a nice restaurant on their terrace you can see the cruise liners docking onto the port.
Beautiful historic ships and even submarines do visit Málaga. I show you further in this post. 😉

I have always been fascinated with the shadows the pergola creates and could easily find some photos I could use for this post and show you.
There are also benches you can rest on and “People watch” and see the world go by.
Let’s have a look from a bit further away, looking back towards the walkway and its pergola in the next Photos.

See the wave?
I remember this day well, I just came from a visit with friends to a museum and saw this beauty docked next to the Passeo. It was 13 October 2015. It was already there for a few days and it is the third largest sailing ship in the World “The Kruzenshtern”.

Another day I saw a submarine, I never seen this before at the port. Of course I took some photos with my iPhone. 😎 You see the pergola just ending above it. 😉
As some of you may know, Málaga has a few mountains and high hotels/ buildings.
Let me show you the Passeo of Muelle Uno from above.
This photo I took while standing on the roof terrace of the AC Hotel in Málaga city. Everybody can visit this roof terrace and their bar. Even if you are not a hotel guest. Let me tell you this: The Views from up there are just Amazing!
