Soft drinks in glass bottles are cheaper than the plastic bottled ones. Back in the days when I was a little boy, glass bottle drinks were more common. Unlike the plastic bottles which some people just fling away carelessly after emptying the contents, glass bottles are treated with caution because they are usually returned. Sometimes, the sellers would hold on to your balance until the empty bottles were safely returned.
Over the years, plastic bottles have become more common and convenient for people to carry with them. This has given plastic bottle drinks greater preference over glass bottles.
It's been a long time I saw glass bottles around the house. I saw a Sprite bottle and a Schweppes bottle lying around our compound. I inquired how they came about. I was told the drinks were bought for visitors some days ago. I queried why they weren't returned, and my little cousin was asked to do so.
On seeing the shadows cast, I decided to place the bottles against the wall and take few shots.
The Sprite bottle made my day!
