I took a series of photos of this Wooden Groyne on Camber Sands beach in East Sussex for the #shadowhunters contest organised by @melinda010100 and her team.
Can you guess the time from the angle of the shadow?
These barriers are in place to reduce coastal erosion by the waves.
They have been in use for many centuries and still do a great job in slowing down erosion.
As you can see below these structures are quite massive when you see the size of the people in the shot.
It was a glorious sunny day and nice to be beside the seaside again.
