WHAT IS THE WORLD TURNING INTO????
I have never been more angrier than I am right now concerning what people do to make money. For heaven’s sake good relationship is going down the drain, marriages are falling apart, home is increasingly dividing and the church…oh my!
What happened to churches that were supposed to teach us never to love money so deeply that it takes us away from morals and justice? I can’t still conceive the facts that mothers sell their female children out for prostitution for them to bring returns to take care of the family while husbands are gone shying away from responsibility or chasing skirts, what happened to youths who now kill young girls and use them for bad spiritual incantations, a ritualistic killing where you serve the devil human blood to release equal amount of money? Or the fact that you have to commit sexual sin with a rich candidate mostly foreigners to get this money….
How much further should we deep ourselves into this evil lucre before we realize that our souls are going beyond condemnation? There is so much evil in the world and only few, I mean just a few are trying their best to discourage it. Technology advancement is supposed to do more good than harm in our lives but is that the case really? I mean a junior high school girl of about ten years is hiding at her backyard tiktoking half naked all for likes and gifting. She sees other mates of hers do the same thing and then there is hook up from one of her followers, there is a meeting place and there she has her first sex, after that it becomes a normal thing. Her parents knows nothing, even when she takes in and abort, her parents still knows NOTHING!!!!!
It pisses me off that parents these days are pretty nonchalant and ignorant about the warfares and activities of their children, they don’t know where their kids go, who their kids visit, who their friends and enemies are etc. In some part of Africa, parents are so damn strict that they give not their children breathing space, they take things so extreme that children forget they have parents. They won’t let you have friends until you’re done with university, even after university, they still want to control you even in your matrimonial home. You want to maintain discipline on your children at every point in time thereby choking them without you even realizing it? Even when you’re called to correction, you ignorantly and adamantly set your heart only for yourself. You risk your children hating you and being afraid of coming close to you for anything other than formality sake. When you get old and have no one to tend to you with full heart, don’t blame it on the poor kids.
And there we have some part of Europe where parents are afraid to chastise their children for fear of not being loved. I understand you do not want to take the risk of hurting your child but God made us to understand that we need to spare the rod and spoil the child so there can be a bright future for you and the child. We have two hands to train the child up. One hand should not fail to spank the child, while the other should not fail to drag the child back to you….it’s like a proverb. It means when you chastise a child for his wrong, make him learn about it and then draw him close to you to make him feel it was never out of hate but love. That way he will learn what is good and what is bad and desist from the bad. When you fear to chastise your kid and he sees it, he will surely use it against you by intentionally being rude and nonchalant. Discipling a child is the greatest quality of love there can ever be from a parent. When he’s disciplined for straying, it means you love him and want him on right tracks. But your blinded love prevents you from doing so, he sees it and acts on it. When you stand to correct him, he becomes rude or threatens to leave the house, or starts smashing things, or even sue you….but in all these, do not be swayed. Stand your ground, maintain eye contact and do the necessary. Fear comes in but let it be more for him than for you, be ready for the worst but make sure he gets what was intended for him and he will learn to do what is right and desist from wrong for surely you will frown at it.
Parenting is not easy but it is the first step for a better society. Younger kids of this generation uses apple and android phones that exposes them to the evil of the world and they are so naive and innocent that they do not see the dangers that awaits their premature hearts. You give them these gadgets, do well to monitor and place some rules, chastise any that break rules. Teach your kids what school cannot teach them like sexual related education, love of money and it’s effects etc. You shouldn’t shy away from them. Let them grow comfortable with you than with their friends.
Parents and elders should also lead by example. Children tend to copy a lot from them these days. Nothing is hidden anymore and do not think your child knows nothing. Whatever adult scene is dramatized around your children, do not ignore them saying they are little. Call their attention and explain what adult stuff means and set ground rules. I’m really tired and I wish things wouldn’t go so wrong like this.
