Book review: Normal People📖🌟💗

in #hive-1801645 months ago

Hey there, book lovers! Today, I want to chat about a novel that I have read recently - "Normal People" by Sally Rooney. If you haven't picked it up yet, let me give you a taste of what you're missing.

So, picture this: two Irish teenagers, Connell and Marianne, navigating the turbulence of young adulthood. They're from the same small town but might as well be from different planets. Connell's the popular guy everyone likes, while Marianne's the odd one out, brilliant but isolated. Their paths cross, and boom - sparks fly.

What I love about this book is how real it feels. Rooney doesn't sugarcoat anything. She dives deep into the messy, complicated world of relationships. One minute, Connell and Marianne are totally in sync, the next they're miles apart. Sound familiar? Yeah, I thought so.

The story follows these two as they move from high school to college at Trinity in Dublin. It's like watching a dance - they come together, drift apart, find each other again. All the while, they're trying to figure out who they are and where they fit in the world. It's awkward, it's painful, it's beautiful - just like real life.

Rooney's writing style? It's something else. She's got this way of getting right to the heart of things without any fuss. No flowery language, just raw, honest observations that hit you right in the feels. She captures those small moments - a look, a touch, an unsaid word - that can mean everything.

Look, I'm not saying this book is for everyone. If you're looking for a straightforward romance with a neat, tidy ending, this might not be your cup of tea. **But if you're up for a story that feels like real life - messy, complicated, and utterly captivating - give "Normal People" a shot.

So, what do you think? Ready to dive into Connell and Marianne's world? Trust me, it's a journey worth taking. And yeah! it's very gripping, I finished it in 3 days.

So, what do you suspect? Ready to dive into Connell and Marianne's world?

Let me know, what you guys think of it💜
Till then, goodbye💫

Wow, I am surprised by the book cover, in my country it is different, but this one here looks so much better. But I also read this book and I completely agree with you! The author's writing style is indeed something different. If you like this book, maybe you'll enjoy "Conversations with friends" by Rooney.

Glad you agree with me and thanks for the recommendation. Added to my TBR lists. Thanks a lot for stopping by💗✨
