Hoy les hablare sobre… (Se le apagan los animos) “Indigno de ser humano” del autor japonés Osamu Dazai.

MY ENCOUNTER WITH THE BOOK
MI ENCUENTRO CON EL LIBRO
Mi encuentro con este libro fue por referencia nada más y nada menos que del anime “Bungo Stray Dogs”. Ya que en este anime hay ciertas personas escogidas que poseen algún poder muy particular, lo más particular de estos poderes es que, aunque al inicio no lo noté de inmediato, la mayoría son nombres de libros <“Pero hay título similares e imagino que cambiaron algunos nombres por el copyright"> pensarás, y si, pero debido a esto los usuarios de estas habilidades llevan los nombres de los autores del libro que lleva por nombre su habilidad.
Por ello un día buscando algo que leer se me cruzó por la mente el nombre de Osamu Dazai y su habilidad “Indigno de ser humano” un nombre bastante curioso para una habilidad pero que extrañamente le sentaba bien, ya que tenía la habilidad de anular habilidades, pero el recordar esto no hizo sino intrigarme más sobre qué tipo de libro sería uno que inspiraría a tal habilidad y personaje… Vaya que acertaron al escoger la habilidad.
Por ello un día buscando algo que leer se me cruzó por la mente el nombre de Osamu Dazai y su habilidad “Indigno de ser humano” un nombre bastante curioso para una habilidad pero que extrañamente le sentaba bien, ya que tenía la habilidad de anular habilidades, pero el recordar esto no hizo sino intrigarme más sobre qué tipo de libro sería uno que inspiraría a tal habilidad y personaje… Vaya que acertaron al escoger la habilidad.

WHAT AFFECTS THE PEOPLE WHO READ THE BOOK SO MUCH?
¿QUE AFECTA TANTO A LAS PERSONAS QUE LEEN EL LIBRO?
This question I would like to answer with another question (I actually love to do that heh, heh, heh) What is it that people tirelessly ask for but can't really tolerate when it is given to them? That answer is HONESTY. I consider myself a very honest person, that's why many people don't like me, because as a friend once told me "Honesty without empathy is just cruelty" to which I agreed with her because there is nothing more cruel than the truth.
And that's why I could feel a little identified with Dazai in this book, since we are both "Honest" and lack empathy, but he sees everything in a much more fatalistic way than I do (which is already saying a lot) and if we combine this series of factors we have the diary of a person who observes the world as it is, in a cold and sordid way, who is in search of this emotion or something to motivate him to move forward, he makes the worst decisions he can, going from being an average and productive member of society to someone who spends his time in bars and sleazy places, who spends all the money he gets on liquor and desperately seeks to end his life, failing at every attempt.

Esta pregunta me gustaría responderla con otra pregunta (La verdad es que me encanta hacer eso je, je, je) ¿Qué es lo que las personas piden incansablemente pero que realmente no pueden tolerar cuando se les da? Esa respuesta es la HONESTIDAD. Yo me considero una persona muy honesta, por eso no le caigo bien a muchas personas, ya que como me dijo una amiga en una ocasión “La honestidad sin empatía solo es crueldad” a lo que le di la razón porque no hay nada más cruel que la verdad.
Y por ello me pude sentir un poco identificado con Dazai en este libro, ya que ambos somos “Honestos” y carecemos de empatía, pero el ve todo de una forma mucho más fatalista que yo (Lo cual ya es decir mucho) y si combinamos esta serie de factores tenemos el diario de una persona que observa el mundo tal cual es, de una manera fría y sórdida, al cual pocas cosas lo emocionan y que por estar en búsqueda de esta emoción o algo que lo motive a seguir adelante toma las peores decisiones que puede, pasando así de ser un miembro promedio y productivo de la sociedad a alguien que se la pasa en bares y lugares de mala muerte, que gasta todo el dinero que obtiene en licor y busca desesperadamente acabar con su vida fracasando en cada intento.

DOES ONE HAVE TO BE WORTHY OF HUMANITY?
¿SE TIENE QUE SER DIGNO DE LA HUMANIDAD?
This is something I really liked about the book What is it that defines humans? Why are some people considered "human" and others are not? By this I mean that many people are called "Monsters" or "Offal", so is there anything one must do to earn the title of human? A very deep topic that I loved to analyze and that has multiple applications both in fiction and in the real world, but Dazai's vision, being more cold and sordid was that what makes humans human, worth the redundancy, were their emotions and empathy, therefore someone who lacked both things could not be considered a human, at least not a normal human, so for a long time he pretended to have these characteristics in order to coexist with the rest of humans around him peacefully, a very smart decision he made as a child.
Esto es algo que me gustó mucho del libro ¿Qué es lo que define a los humanos? ¿Por qué a algunas personas se les considera “humanos” y a otros no? Con esto me refiero a que muchas personas son llamadas “Monstruos” o “Despojos”, entonces ¿Hay algo que se deba hacer para ganarse el título de humano? Un tema muy profundo que me encantó analizar y que tiene múltiples aplicaciones tanto en la ficción como en el mundo real, pero la visión de Dazai, al ser más fría y sórdida fue que lo hace humanos a los humanos, valga la redundancia, eran sus emociones y empatía, por ende alguien que carecía de ambas cosas no podía considerársele un humanos, al menos no un humano normal, por ello durante un largo tiempo fingió tener estas características para poder convivir con el resto de humanos que lo rodeaban de forma pacífica, una decisión muy inteligente que tomó siendo niño.

He was not surrounded by friends, his father and his brothers abandoned him due to his alcoholism and bad decisions, since they were tired of helping him, but he always found comfort, especially financially, almost always with women to whom he called their attention and whom he ended up abandoning after some time, so despite being asocial he was not socially withdrawn and was popular with women, but he never maintained a truly lasting relationship with anyone, other than with a drinking buddy whom he did not consider as a friend.
El protagonista de este libro al decidir que fingiría tener empatía logra ser una persona que “conecta” muy fácilmente con los demás, lo coloco entre comillas porque la conexión ocurre de un solo lado, Dazai no siente un apego especial por nadie, y por quien llegara a sentir algo similar, lo cual era muy raro porque el prefería siempre la soledad, terminaría muy mal de una o varias formas. No estaba rodeado de amigos, su padre y sus hermanos lo abandonaron debido a su alcoholismo y malas decisiones, ya que se habían cansado de ayudarlo, pero siempre encontraba consuelo, sobre todo económicamente, casi siempre con mujeres a las que él les llamaba la atención y a las que terminaba abandonando después de algún tiempo, así que a pesar de ser asocial no era socialmente retraído y era popular con las mujeres, pero nunca mantuvo una relación verdaderamente duradera con nadie, más que con un compañero de copas a quien él no consideraba como un amigo.

Here the answer is a maybe, because as I said at the beginning, this book is not for impressionable people, this book will make you question the meaning of your life, your friendships, your family and interpersonal relationships, among many other things. This book will make you open your eyes to certain aspects of life, but it may also darken your perspective on life, so that is something you should consider very carefully. No, it's not like this book is some sort of Necronomichron or similar, but as I said, for people who are impressionable or use books as an escape route to a world full of fantasy and wonderful things I don't recommend it.
Aquí la respuesta es un tal vez, porque como dije al inicio, este libro no es para personas impresionables, este libro te hará cuestionarte el significado de tu vida, a tus amistades, tu relaciones familiares e interpersonales, entre muchas otras cosas. Este libro te hará abrir los ojos con ciertos aspectos de la vida, pero puede que oscurezca tu perspectiva de la misma, así que es algo que debes considerar muy bien. No, no es como si este libro fuese una especie de Necronomichron o similar, pero como dije, para personas impresionables o que usan los libros como una vía de escape a un mundo lleno de fantasía y cosas maravillosas no lo recomiendo.

MY OPINION ABOUT THE BOOK
I personally loved the book, I know the book is very gloomy and all that, but I am fascinated by the way the author describes and represents his vision of the world, that's something I always like, having new and different perspectives. The book has a couple of curiosities like the fact that the identity of the main character was never revealed, yes since I mention Dazai as the main character, but it is because in an interview with the author, he said that the book was written taking as inspiration a series of notebooks that he found but he doesn't know who they belonged to, and I join the group of speculators who believe that the book reflects a part of his life.
The part where the main character says he would feign empathy I liked because that was a decision I made a few years ago and it gradually worked out to the point where many people consider me someone very "empathetic" and maybe that is now part of my reality, on the other hand having a more gloomy perspective on life made me be able to better appreciate the light in it, for that and many other reasons this book captivated me, fascinated me and I loved it.

El libro personalmente me encantó, ya sé que el libro es muy lúgubre y todo eso, pero me fascina la manera en la que el autor describe y representa su visión del mundo, es algo que siempre me gusta, tener nuevas y diferentes perspectivas. El libro tiene un par de curiosidades como que nuca fue revelada la identidad del protagonista, si ya que menciono a Dazai como protagonista, pero es debido a que en una entrevista al autor, dijo que el libro fue escrito tomando como inspiración una serie de cuadernos que encontró pero que no sabe a quién pertenecían, y yo me uno al grupo de especuladores que creen que el libro refleja una parte de su vida.
La parte donde el protagonista dice que fingiría empatía me gustó porque esa fue una decisión que yo tomé hace unos años y gradualmente fue funcionando hasta el punto donde muchas personas me consideran alguien muy "empático" y quizás eso ahora sea parte de mi realidad, por otro lado tener una perspectiva más lúgubre de la vida me hizo poder apreciar mejor la luz que hay en ella, por eso y muchos otros motivos este libro me cautivó, me fascinó y me encantó.
