I CAN READ IT.

Which means I am actually learning stuff from Duolingo, sometimes I'm not sure because I don't usually get around to real life practice XD

I remember reading Just So Stories when I was tiny, but I only very vaguely remember what any of them were about and even then I'm not sure if the memory is anywhere in the same universe as accurate XD

ps if you include that text in your book I hope that includes the struck through text ;D

Sort:

Cool to hear that you start to understand Portuguese and no worries, the cheesyness will remain. I need it to balance out my serious side.

p.s. It seems that the Just So stories are mainly fictional, 'funny' stories to explain why certain animals ended up the way they are.

Ahh yes that brings back some memories including that the picture on the front cover was probably the one about why the elephant has a long trunk.

I guess it was, indeed.
Haven't read that story,
but I remember it as a joke

( although that might have been a 'flat' trunk ).

No, wait... that was about the crocodile's beak.

Hint: it had something to do with elephants falling out of the trees and the time of the day when the crocodile crossed the jungle.

P.S. I started reading other stuff again ( sci-fi ), Blindsight. About vampires in the future.

I'm on a 40 something day steak in Spanish! But I do the bar minimum every day...I feel like my goal has become not forgetting anything I've learned.

Nice :D

Yeh I've only been doing bare minimum lately as well, basically exactly enough to keep my streak going. But that seems to help so :)
