Greetings everyone!
Welcome to my blog♥️
Today I am going to share a review of one of my favorite novels which I read during the 7th semester at the University because it was included in our BS English course content.
As a literature student, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is a book that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a moving and thought-provoking read.

SETTING

In "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, the story mostly takes place in:

Kabul, Afghanistan: This is where Amir grows up and where a lot of problems happen.

California, USA: This is where Amir and his dad go after leaving Afghanistan.

Pakistan: This is where Amir and his dad spend time before moving to the US.

Amir's childhood home in Kabul: This is an important place because many significant events take place there, like the kite-fighting competition and the attack on Hassan.

The orphanage: This is where Amir goes to save Hassan's son, Sohrab.

CHARACTERS

There are the following major characters in this novel.

1: Hassan - Loyal Hazara friend of Amir.

2: Baba - Powerful but secretive father of Amir
3: Ali - Hazara's servant, physically deformed.

4: Assef- Sociopathic Hazara hater.

5: Soraya - Kind wife, helps redemption of Amir

6: Rahim Khan - Baba's friend, and mentor of Amir.

7: Sohrab - Hassan's son, redemption aide

8: Amir - Guilt-ridden protagonist.

The Kite Runner is a great book for people who want to read something touching and deep. It takes place in Afghanistan during the 1970s and 1980s and is about a boy named Amir and his best friend, Hassan.

The book shows how complicated relationships can be, especially between people who are different. Amir is rich and Hassan is poor, and when something bad happens to Hassan( raped ) , Amir doesn't help him. This makes Amir feel really bad for a long time and he feels guilty.

It also shows how Afghanistan has changed over time, with wars and new rulers. The author does a great job describing the country and its culture.

Overall, The Kite Runner is a really good book that will make you feel a lot of emotions. It's great for people who like literature and stories about people.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review of The Kite Runner. I hope that my insights have inspired you to read this wonderful book.

Take care!
Bye-bye 🥂♥️

I find it interesting that these kinds of books exist and modernity still support wars, no matter what angle or way, the act of supporting a war is horrifying with it as an act, and still these books are not even that old... It is a lovely book, a bit heartbreaking at times, but it is genially hard as it transmits the events in a more surreal way.

I appreciate your thoughtful reflection on the book.
It is indeed intriguing how literature can capture the essence of historical events and offer a unique perspective on them. The emotional impact of war can be devastating, and literature can help us empathize with those affected by it. I'm glad to hear that you found the book interesting.
