Unfinished Stories about Animals - The World of Hypersensitivosaurus - Mrs. Mosquito: To Suck or not to Suck

Mrs. Mosquito - Mozzie for friends ( but who wants to be friends with a mosquito* ) - felt a little anaemic.

She hadn't sucked any blood, for a couple of days now, and was really starting to feel the effects. Dizzy spells, trembling legs and very low energy. She could hardly stick to a wall and ceilings had become impossible. Gravity had become stronger than her. Where she was usually draining others, she now felt 'drained' herself.

It was fair to say that if she waited much longer, it would endanger her life.

Mrs. M. was trying to work through a serious dillema, though, which was even tougher, now her brain - that was already invisble to the human eye and to that of most animals - was struggling, due to her being undernourished.

"To Suck or Not To Suck?"

that was the question.

I know what you are thinking and no, that's not what I meant, although I admit that a dirty mind is a joy forever.

*It wasn't easy to be a mosquito. She hadn't chosen to be a parasite.
It was just what she had to do - and her mother before her, and her grandmother before her mother, and so on and so forth - in order to survive.

What saddened her the most, though, was not being able to befriend any other animal, aside from fellow mozzies.

And even among mozzies, there was a lot of competition. Many of them couldn't help sucking up to others and could be bloody annoying.

TO BE CONVINUED...

P.S. I must say that it felt satisfying, to write a short post with a long title ;<)

P.P.S. The painting/ picture that illustrates this post has nothing to do with the story, but I created it today, during a group painting session with @clareartista @theastone @ninasophia and a guest who joined in but didn't paint, and I felt that this painting could very well describe the emotions going through the tiny head of Mrs. Mosquito, if she were to be creative and actually thought in colors ;<)

P.P.S. For your entertainment ( and because I like to look at it ), I added an older sketchie of Hypersensitivosaurus, attempting - without much success - to fight off Mrs. M., who also wasn't very successful, here, in her attempt to suck. In fact, some days she just sucked at it.

To be conVINued? No way that these mozzies are still there this weekend waiting fro fresh blood

Yo Vinster!

Sorry about that :<)

There's very few and they are slow and easy to kill.
I had one in my mosquito net, last night.

See you tomorrow! Tot morgen!

Poor Mrs M XD I occasionally feel very slightly bad after killing mosquitoes (after I stop being angry when there was a swarm of them).

I still splatter them, although they are getting pretty weak these days. I had one in my mosquito net, last night. She got me and I got her but I lay awake for three hours, afterward.

Revenge of a dead mozzie, I guess.

This has to be the most empathic thing ever said about a mosquito. I'd tell her to go on and suck em' dry, but then again, I don't really want that to happen. Life and it's contradictions...

This has to be the most empathic thing ever said about a mosquito.

I guess so ;<)

don't tell anyone that the real 'Vincent' still kills mosquitoes.
It's our little secret.

Sure, just send 10 HBD to my account on a daily basis and I will remain silent

I know you could use the money but this is a little extreme haha!

Abrazo!

Your secret is no longer safe with me

It was lovely painting with you today @vincentnijman! I look forward to next week. I like how you are showing us the story from the point of view of the mozzies, so easy to get caught up in how they annoy us!

I had fun too, yesterday.
And thank you!

and yes, it's too easy to get totally frustrated over these li'l buggers

Hehe - nice story indeed, dear @vincentnijman !! It was a great session together, and I love your painting... vibrant and rich!

Thank you, Clare and yes it was great indeed! :<)
