Magpie was making noise, again,
sitting on a high branch of an old beech.
Personally, Hypersensitivosaurus thought that the magpie's noise was one of the most annoying animal sounds that he'd ever heard.
Not that it wasn't a beautiful bird,
but that NOISE that came out of it!
If the bird would just keep its beak shut,
it would have been a completely different story.
Sometimes he would want to go back to eating poultry,
just to get rid of that annoying sound.
The above is a fragment of a short story titled Hypersensitiosaurus and the Magpie.
This is one of 22 animal stories that can be found in my upcoming book.
Some other Hypersensitivosaurus books are already in the works. Those will probably be centered around a couple of animals only. Next up will probably be Hypersensitivosaurus and Cold Turkey that was supposed to be my first book, until my plans changed, last month. It is actually close to finished, including illustrations. The timing just didn't feel right. Something stopped me from really finishing it.
It's now 12 days before the target date ( set by me, a week or three ago and spoken about in my blog ) for 22 Stories of Hypersensitivosaurus and Other Animals.
In fact, it was only three weeks ago, when I decided on the actual format of my very first book, after having shapeshifted for 2 years and 2 months.
Once I really set myself to do something - and it is exciting or important enough a mission - I can be pretty good at finishing things.
As @clareartista said, yesterday, in our weekly Wednesday video group painting session:
It feels like there's a strong finishing energy in the air, these days.
My Ego responded to that by saying that I had thought that it was only Me
who had leveled up and gotten into that mode
but perhaps she's right.
I can't help but feel, lately, that a lot of us are moving in sync these days.
So what about you? Are you getting close to finishing a project that's important to you? And if so, do you mind sharing it here?
CUT BACK TO
ME
Today I edited another two stories: numero 17 and 18, out of 22. There's now only four stories to go and 12 days left.
If I would edit a single story per day, from now on, I will have 8 days left to make some more illustrations or edit existing ones and to do a final re-write/ spell check chession.
It would be extra awesome if my twin sister can find the time to do my lay out ( before the 22nd ). She has loads of experience as a 2D designer and illustrator. She knows what looks good. Aside from that, she's my twi(nsis)ter and it woul be very nice if she can help me out and be part of this.
No matter what, even if my sister can't find the time to do this before the 22nd, I am gonna print a first edition.
I want to have at least one single copy, printed on old-fashioned paper, to give to my parents.
I am gonna make this goal, no matter what. And - as I already told myself - it does not need to be perfect yet ( if it ever will be ). It's gonna be a first edition.
Now let me end this update with an illustration that I made, yesterday.
Correction: I finished it yesterday. This piece was started about a week ago. I drew three magpies, with a pen ( after looking up some examples online ).
The day before today, I decided to work with charcoal ( a huge piece of a burnt log, taken from my wood burner ) during the video 'painting'session / co-creation hours, that I mentioned earlier on.
I actually didn't paint, I charcoaled, adding a tree underneath one of the magpies and 'coloring' all three of the birds. I also made some other drawings with oil pastel crayons that I won't share with you.
Later alligator lizard lovers!
No, I'm not talking about lizard people here but about dinosaurs ( from the Greek for giant lizard ) and I hope you have fallen or about to fall in love with Hypersensitivosaurus, which would be flattering for me, as he's one of my alter egos ;<)
