I hope you are Happy and healthy today i wil share a new recipe suji ka upma(semolina)Upma is a popular South Indian breakfast made semolina flour (called rava or suji locally), veggies, spices and herbs. The upma recipe I share here is from my mom's recipe and continues to be a favorite in my home. The ingredients used to flavor the rava upma (also called suji ka upma) give it a deliciously satisfying taste th will make this dish one of your Q new preferred go-to breakfast Upma is sure a healthy alternate to pasta and noodles. This Recipe gives confidence in moving from novice to matured level of cooking or when we start cooking. This is my go to dish for sudden food cravings &
when I am busy. So let's start with how it is made
🌿Ingredients🌿
1 cup suji semolina
2 spoon oil
Small cup of water
half teaspoon cumin
Half teaspoon mustard
Half teaspoon turmeric powder
Half teaspoon red chilli powder
2 chopped onions
2 green chilli (if you want)
10 grams peanuts
4 chopped garlic
a little chopped ginger
coriander leaves
curry leaves
🌿(How to make suji Upma Recipe)🌿
1.Heat oil in pan and add cumin and mustard When cumin and mustard crackle, add peanuts to it.After that add curry leaves and green chillies.
2.When it gets cooked a little, add chopped onion.
When the onion becomes light brown,add turmeric powder red chilli powder salt as per taste add semolina to it.
3.And stir it slowly to roast the semolina: Then add some water to it and keep stirring it for 2 minutes.
4.Cover and allow the rava upma to steam for 2 to 3 minutes on a low heat.After that cover the pan And it has to be cooked for 5 minutes When the aroma starts coming, the semolina upma is ready
