hello, friends, today's recipe for @qurator Hive top chef contest theme is carrots. It was made a few weeks ago to post in the plant power community. very simple and easy way to make buns for breakfast or lunch.
Ingredients:
1 cup grated carrots
1 tsp black sesame seeds
2 tsp sugar + 2 more tbsp sugar
1/4 block of fresh yeast.
2 tsp avocado oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp white sesame seeds
1 tsp semolina
200 ml water
a spoonful of semolina for baking
350 grams of all-purpose flour
In a mixer added grated carrot.
2 tbsp sugar
And ground it into a fine paste.
Kept aside.
in a bowl poured 2 tbsp carrot juice and added 1 tsp fresh yeast,
1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp salt. Stirred it.
Added flour and 2 tsp avocado oil
Now added carrot paste and started mixing all ingredients.
And made nice soft dough.
Kept it aside for rest until it became double in size.
After one hour it rose I punched it down and 10 more minutes were kept aside to rise.
After 10 minutes it looked like this.
Kneaded the dough and made small balls to make buns.
Sprinkled some semolina on the baking tray and set all buns in the baking tray.
after the buns rose I brushed water on each and sprinkled with some black and white sesame seeds.
In the preheated oven 180 C baked for around 22 minutes.
the nice soft carrot buns are ready to enjoy.
