Hello dear hive friends,
Good morning, dear friends of the hive. How are you all? Last night, I prepared a delicious and nutritious pollos sambol to accompany bread, and I'm eager to share the recipe with you today. Polos sambol, a traditional Sri Lankan dish, is crafted from young jackfruit. In this culinary journey, we're introducing a fresh recipe to this platform, promising both nourishment and satisfaction. This traditional Sri Lankan dish blends tender young jackfruit with an array of spices, including chilies, garlic, and fragrant curry leaves. Let's dive into the preparation process.
Required Ingredients...
🍀 A few pieces of boiled polos.
🍀 1 Cup of grated coconut.
🍀 3 teaspoons of crushed chili powder.
🍀 A few pieces of pepper.
🍀 Salt as needed.
🍀 Curry leaves.
🍀 A little lime juice.
🍀 A chopped onion.
🍀 3 or 4 of garlic.
Method of making.
First cut the boiled young jackfruit into small pieces.
Traditional Sri Lankan kitchens often use something like a stone grinder to grind ingredients. If so, try that way. Or you can use a blender for that.
First, add salt, chili, pepper, and garlic to the stone grinder, then grind them well.
Then add curry leaves and coconut to it and grind again.
Then add small pieces of boiled young jackfruit to it and grind well.
Then add about a teaspoon of lime juice to the prepared pollos sambol and mix well.
Now, the delicious Polos Sambola is ready. This flavorful sambol is not only perfect for serving to family members but also to guests, whether accompanied by bread or rice. A beloved village dish in Sri Lanka, it has gained popularity among foreigners and is now even served in luxury hotels. Apart from boiling young jackfruit, it can be prepared quite easily. Next, I will introduce another new dish.
