Have a great day, dear friends! How are you? Today, I’m sharing a recipe I prepared on a relaxing Sunday: the delicious Crispy Bread Pakoda. It’s perfect for a day when the whole family is at home, making it an ideal dish for tea time. This version is made with a twist, offering a healthier alternative to supermarket snacks that often contain artificial ingredients. By preparing it at home, you ensure better quality and taste. Yesterday, with my child, husband, and some of his friends present, I decided to make and serve this delightful treat. Let’s see how to prepare this crispy pakoda.
Materials Used.
6 Slices of sandwich bread.
2 Boiled mashed potatoes.
Wheat flour 100g.
Water 60ml.
1 Onion, finely chopped.
Coconut oil 150ml.
Salt powder to taste.
1/4 teaspoon of Baking soda.
1 Teaspoon of curry powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of crushed chili powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of pepper powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of chili powder.
Few chopped curry leaves.
The cooking process as follows.
Now, let’s prepare this delicious dish. First, place the boiled and mashed potatoes in a bowl. Then, add chopped curry leaves and onions. Season with salt, curry powder, crushed chili powder, and pepper powder. Mix everything well and set it aside.
Next we take the slices of bread and remove the part around it. As in the images below.
Next, place the potato mixture in the center of a bread slice and cover it with another slice of bread. Press down gently to seal. Then, take the sandwich and cut it into four equal parts. The pictures below will help illustrate the process.
Now, to prepare a batter, add some wheat flour to a cup. Add 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder to it. Add some water to it and make a thick batter.
Now we take a vessel and put it on the stove and add coconut oil. After it is heated, spread the prepared bread pieces in the batter and fry until golden on both sides.
Now, this crispy recipe was served to our guests with a cup of tea. We enjoyed it as well, and it turned out to be delicious. It can be a great addition to breakfast, not just for tea time. I hope you give it a try too. So, I'll say goodbye for today. Have a wonderful day!
