A simple to make recipe with Horsegram

in #hive-1805693 months ago

Greetings dear Hiveans!!! Happy to be here with another simple recipe. Hoping you all are fine at your comfort zone in your own country.
.
To talk about the recipe, the best part of this is you don't have to cook, you just can eat it raw. A lovely side dish with long grain rice. If you have the ingredients in your kitchen, you hardly need 8 to 10 mjnutes to cook this recipe. Helpful for working women.

This can also be just boiled and eaten with coconut and jaggery. Some people take water from the boiled gram and use it in curry for gravy. As they arebquite healthy, by all means.

Let me come to the cooking part

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

  • Horse gram - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut - 1 cup
  • Tamarind - half of a medium lemon size
  • Garlic - 3 big cloves
  • Red pepper - 2 or as per your spice
  • Salt - as per your requirement
  • Curry leaves a handfull.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

STEP - 1

Place a skillet in stove and roast the Horsegram until brown in medium flame and keep it aside, and let it cool.

STEP - 2

Once it cools down, take a blender and grind it coarsely along with coconut, tamarind, garlic, salt, red pepper and curry leaves. Once done, remove it from the blender.

STEP - 3

Your coarsely grinded Horse gram is ready to be served with hot rice and some fryums or pappads and pickles.
