Hello to all Hive collectors, those who have their own collections, but also those who like to see other Hivers collections 🙂
When I published my first post in the #HiveCollectors community, in one of the comments, I mentioned a collection of glasses that I had to look for in display cases or unpacked boxes in my cottage.
As if through a fog, the memory of the winter of 1985 returns to me.
My ninth birthday, third grade of elementary school.
In the apartment where we lived, my best friends from the class were gathered around the table around my birthday cake. Eight of us in total.
The candles are extinguished, children's wishes are imagined, but the cake is not yet eaten.
It is not eaten because we have not yet determined which two will be left without a "super" glass for drinking the juice, and none of the six who will have the privilege of drinking from those glasses will be the first to choose a glass for themselves.
One after the other, we nervously squeeze the console for the Donkey Kong game in our hands, with the aim of achieving the best result...
Because whoever has the most points in the game, is the first to choose a glass for himself.
I don't remember which of my friends drank juice from ordinary glasses, because I, as the host, still didn't want to give up my fourth position (even though I was the celebrant, I didn't get a concession, I had to play for the glass, so when I won it, there was no chances to give it up).
Then I ended up with a Ford Mustang GT cup in hand... Someone with a higher score in the game took my favorite...

What a frenzy there was among us kids for those glasses...
As an older brother, when the two of us took the cups, I had the championship, I always chose Ferrari.

The younger brother was interested in red cars, so he took an Aston Martin, an Alfa Romeo, and sometimes a Mercedes.

When we had a child as guests (if there were less than 6 of us), there were never any problems or arguments over the choice of time.
Guests often grabbed the Porsche, not knowing that it was a much weaker version of the famous 911.
Porsche 912
The Ferrari 330 GT, with a V12 engine and 300 PS, with a max speed of 240 km/h, has always been my choice, although the Aston Martin DB6, with 286 PS and a max speed of 240 km/h, was always on its heels.
The favorite glasses from childhood are now in a display case in our cottage and are rarely drunk from.
When my mother saw that I was taking pictures of them, she asked me if I wanted to drink juice or water from one of them, but considering that they were only 150ml glasses, I was not interested in pouring several times...
These glasses remain in the display case in the cottage, as a fond memory of the time when, as kids, we were obsessed with supercars.
Many years later, one of us had the opportunity to drive such a car and drive or to be its proud owner.
Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the collection I shared with you
