Obverse view

Hello Hivers, for today I want to showcase my 1996 monocolor Forint.

I really like the deaign of this coin because it gives that Knights Templar vibes. This was given to me by a friend who taught in Germany for over a decade. As he travelled all over Europe, he would collect coins from different Euro nations.

I can't seem to find some articles about this particular coin except it was replaced by a bicolor version also during the time of 1996. This design was introduced in 1992 but it seems there should be less of this coin out there if the bicolor version also came out on 1996.

The bicolor is the same design except it there is a silver color part on the the outer portion. However, i like the monocolor version more because it looks more valuable and older.

Oh, yeah, so a Forint is a coin used in the country of Hungary.

Here is the reverse side.

It is really minimalistically-designed coin, especially the backside. The front design though is one of my favorites among my collection.

Thank you for reading my post.
