The Secret to Hive.jpg

You're going to want to see this 👀

In today's video, I have a lot of info to share with you about how you can increase your chances of finding success on Hive.

There is no sure-shot way to guarantee you will experience abundance, but there are many things you can do to further sway the odds in your favor. I wish to share a few of these methods with you today.

After nearly 5 years of using Hive, I have learned quite a bit. There have been a lot of lows and many great highs for me. Many whales have discovered me and some eventually forgot about me or left the platform entirely. One thing is for certain, I have never given up and it continues to pay off more each day.

I hope that my message today is valuable to many and will assist some people in helping create a better life than the one they are already living. Hive gives its users the chance to experience social media in a new way. Web3 is inevitable and Hive is currently the obvious choice in terms of overall power and number of apps.

If you find any of what I have to say useful, feel free to leave a comment and let me know. You can also add any other bits of advice that you may have for some of the newer users on here. The more knowledge we share with each other, the better off everyone involved will be.

A reblog and upvote would also help to help spread this message to a wider range of viewers on the platform.

Thanks for watching!

Today I had to return to this video, watch it again and convince myself that Hive maybe is not the only way, because you can't convert yourself in a slave of a project or platform, but I'm sure Hive can be the greatest Web3 blockchain ever if we work together. Why I'm writing all of this shit?

Today my boss almost fired me, he told me that I stay too much time on Hive, and that is stealing me time to work. He says that because he sees on Twitter that I'm sharing a lot of content about Hive. But I make my content at night and in my weekends, in my free time, this is unfair... So I will continue because I believe in Hive and I think there are a lot of opportunities, and more freedom than in any fucking company.

Your boss wants to own you and guide your life. I'm guessing he was just bluffing and trying to scare you aware of your passion so that he doesn't lose you. I know you're a valuable asset to anything that you're involved in. Don't let people like that hold you back or start disbelieving yourself. He feels fine where he is but is he truly happy? You, on the other hand, have a vision with set goals and you continually put forth the full effort. You will no doubt be more successful and HAPPY in the future. At least that's what I think from what I know of you.

My recommendation, block your boss on Twitter and keep doing your thing.

Thank you man!!, even if I want to do that I can't because I'm Community Manager, I can't block him! I think the best way is to make him understand. Hive is an opportunity for everyone, even for his company, eventually companies needs to make web3 marketing. So the one start now will be the best in the future. Thanks again for your opinion about me, I really appreciate it!

i dont do this often but i reblogged your post because wisdom information is always useful for people like me wich is trying to make a live from hive, who knows who can see it and teach them a lot.

I love that you are teaching from your own experience, what has helped you along your way, there is a lot to learn from you.

I really do appreciate that and understand that it means a lot. I rarely reblog stuff as well, I'm more likely to share it on Twitter if anything. I like to keep my blog tidy, but then again some things are just too good not to share on my feed.

This is "too good not to share on my feed" the kind of thing my friend, thanks you really much for sharing it!!

I have watched this video once and plan to repeat it to watch it again and save it. That will give me the benefits you mean.
The collection of experiences is like teachers who gather and teach many things to be learned.

Very useful, Bro.

I love knowing you find some use from this video. Thanks bro!

I really appreciate this post. I came to some of these same conclusions after two years of going no where. I'm starting over with this account. The biggest lessons I learned is to stay consistent and stay engaged.

Posted using Proof of Brain

I considered starting over with a new account when Hive first forked, but then I decided I was find with just continuing to push the same username. It has worked out well for me, but I think starting fresh can also work well too. Good luck! I like your logo btw!

On hive, consistency and diligence are all that is required coupled with good content and social ethics. Its funny though. One might think it's easy but it isn't.

Those first two are some of the most important. Great content can go a long way, but it isn't the only thing you need to succeed here.

I agree consistency is really important. Few days in a row my videos had 2+ dollars in payout. My today's video payout currently is $0.11 but I am still gonna make videos tomorrow and day after tomorrow...and so on.

I went through a few years of little to no rewards. It can be tough, but as long as you enjoy what you are doing then you can surely continue to create. I see you were playing Dragon Age Origins, one of my favorite RPGs of all time.

I also love Dragon Age Origins. I think the only games I like more a the Witcher games.

I'm hyped for Dragon Age 4: Dreadwolf!

I still have not played dragon age inquisition. I am waiting for it to appear in good old games. I buy all my games there.

What about Dragon Age II? It’s really good as well.

Ironically I think I played DA2 before Origins. from what I remember I played DA2 thinking that it is a sequel of some divinity game I played long time ago. I found out my mistake only some time later.

I think one of the keys to succeeding on Hive is just to keep showing up everyday and not be overly affected by the 'highs and lows'. It's social media, so engagement really helps in growing a following and making a name for yourself. Above all, is in bringing value in any way you possibly can.

100% being here is the most important thing. Nothing is going to happen if you don't show up day in and out.

Wowww, I’m gonna see it right now. Maybe there are some things I don’t know. Thanks for helping everybody here

I think you will surely get some benefit from watching this. Let me know if you have any questions.

Building connections and the determination to get into peoples heart is the way here bro, you are actually right I believe when you are consistent in what ever you do, within due time, you will get noticed by different people from different corners of the world because I believe hive is a world on its own entirely which constitute different entities from different angles in the world

All it takes is one special post to become unforgettable to a curator.

Yeah, you are right tho, but before one get to that stage, there must have been so level of mutual interaction between you and the curator...

Great points in the video. It can definitely be like a sowing seeds sort of thing. Supporting new/small accounts that grow over time and eventually turn into large accounts and supporting each other along the way.

Hive is sort of a mystery how people get together. I agree with that for sure. I think there is a definiye network effect - networking works.

It's been fun watching and helping some smaller accounts grow. I've gotten really lucky and brought up a few of them over the past few years! They've all turned out into really great users on here. Some have dropped off for one reason or another but a bunch have stayed which is great!

That's awesome. Yeah it's inevitable that some people will disappear after a time. Sometimes they come back after years of being away though. Haha

It really has. I've found a few people who didn't think they had much of anything creative to offer early on and were about to give up. I gave them some advice and I've noticed they've become some of the most consistent and awesome creators that I know of. One small thing could lead to a lifetime of commitment.

The seed comparison is a good point. If you plant a crop and then forget to tend to it, it's not going to end well. However, if you take care of it daily and make sure it gets the water and sunshine that it needs and isn't harmed by pests, then you have a much higher chance to reap rewards. Even then though, maybe there is a draught and things go to shit. Giving up is an option, but I think it would be a foolish choice.

Yeah that so true. All of it.
Giving up would definitely be foolish. Who knows where Hive will be in the future.

Very cool advice and nice tats!

Thanks!

Loving the intro man! Gonna check the clip right now.

Nice points in the video. Man, I think I started following you after I saw some Tweets of you on Twitter (another place where to meet hivers) I think the combination of consistency and engagement is the magic formula to get a good reputation on Hive. Even if people forget about you, once you reach a high reputation, people will wonder what you've already been sharing on the Hive blockchain

Cheers

Thanks, I created my intro on https://www.renderforest.com/.

Twitter is a pretty good place to find new Hive people thanks to Posh. Consistency/Engagement/Passion are what seem to be taking me the furthest.

"Not worrying about someone else caring about what we do" - Now that's a goal to look forward to!

You have said some fantastic stuff here, but this in a nutshell is what it's all about for me! In my real life too, I get tired of people trying to dictate their terms over me and I snap - I get into trouble for that, but that's the sort of trouble I'd rather be in instead of the trouble I'd have to put myself through trying to care about what the "society" thinks!

I'm right there with you when you say you wish to not have anybody trying to dictate how you live. Those who don't snap under those types of circumstances are either submissive or they've just lost all sight of what it means to have ownership of yourself.

How do you get whales to consistently vote you?

It all comes back to playing the social game on Hive.

Jump into the comments section of their posts.

Start conversations.

Put yourself out there and build meaningful relationships with these people.

Too often people complaining or wondering where their whales support suddenly went forget this.

Whales use echolocation to communicate and navigate. Without showing up on their radar, you don't even exist to them in an endless sea of life. The same applies to whales on Hive.

PEEK-A-BOO!!

I guess I latched onto the comment way.. only took me about 4 years to get that one.. :P

So, I guess I am a hive rock climber.. IN it to WIN it!

hahaha, KAREN! 😂

thanks for laying it out here..

Cliff hanging all day man! Lol

I knew somebody would like the PEEK-A-BOO 👻
I can’t help but notice an accidental pun in the moment like that Caring/Karen one.

You may be one of those free climbers who is so committed that you don’t even use any safety gear. Just your hands and some chalk.

image.png

😁🤙

but nah, i'm definitey the guy that take it nice and slow and hooks in all the time..

image.png

just doing it daily really helps to LESSEN the work.. keeps it all spread out in little chunks. I don't get those people who do hive like once a week and stress out, spending 4-5 hours on a super duper post and then, not even curating at all or very little and.. like huh?? :P

Great points made in this video. You truly make it look easier than it is lol. I think it's just that you are putting out there exactly what you know...yourself, and that comes across as believable and worth the listen. Great tats too!

It's never easy, but so much is possible if you put forth that effort.

I'm so curious about the video. It's a topic everybody would want to know, or at least in my opinion.
Unfortunately, I tried many times to play the video but I can't get it working! 😭
Maybe I'll try playing it again later~ hopefully it will be okay.

Hmm, that's weird. I wonder what the issue is. It's playing fine over here, maybe try again when you can.

Dude, it was a little hard for me to understand because there were no subtitles and I know a lot of people whose first language is not English won't understand it. It's much easier when you add subtitles to your videos like this. But I understand that being consistent is the most important thing for me 😂.

I wish there was a free application that automatically added subtitles to my videos. If you know of one, please let me know. All of the ones I’ve found require a costly monthly membership.

All right, man, I'll look into it for you. I hope I can find something like that. I think that would be the best thing for everybody.

the most important thing in his message is that never give up and seek our way since the opportunities are here

untitled.gif

Great video bro, I have learned a lot with your content and advices, and I really appreciate that. My account have grown a lot after we met. Thanks

You are one of the best at putting my advice into work. Keep on this path and you’ll surely keep growing in a big way.

Let's fucking grow!!

I totally agree with you that consistency is the key to maintain a good stay here and also get a positive rewards for it. Though the consistency requires engagement which is to showcase yourself to others by making comments and replying as well will really make some people to notice. Thanks for sharing and I love your tattoos lol.

It's difficult to get the creative engine going again whenever you leave it off for too long.

I appreciate that tattoo compliment. Maybe you would enjoy watching my older tattoo video https://peakd.com/dtube/@daltono/gup73hsx88c

I agree with you my friend, the most important thing is perseverance and of course to do things with pleasure and passion. I think that if you really do something that you like, it does not mean that you have to work hard to do it and if you get some reward in return it's great.

The point is as you say concentrate on doing our best every day and little by little our progress will be noticed and therefore we will be more noticeable on the platform. !PIZZA

Having your own blog that you are in control of is pretty awesome. You are able to post the things that you care most about and that makes falling out of love with the process nearly impossible. Still, we lose people for various reasons.

Too true man! Lots of good stuff here but for sure, we all start somewhere! I've still got screenshots of when my account was .1 Hive Power! Of course it wasn't called Hive at the time but you remember!

It's important for people to realize that dedication, time and effort should pay off in the end. It wasn't all sunshine and roses and it's still not but if you work at it in a productive way, you can get to a good spot some day! I would like to think that the Hive middle and upper middle class is growing pretty well! We've got a few more people in the Orca category which is great, as well as many dolphins and people crossing the lines between them weekly!

I'm sure I could go back and find some screenshots like that. It's certainly a battle to grow your account at first, but at some point, it just starts to multiply much more rapidly.

Even just recently I was reminded of the ripples that come with increased engagement. A couples of weeks ago I took advantage of some free time and blew up my interacting in a thoughtful manner.

I began to notice an uptick in comments, followers, and yes, even upvotes over time. I also learned some things from some of the very smart people we have here on Hive.

I can also confirm what you've pointed out when it comes to commenting at different times of day when I experimented at posting during different times of day. You get a varied crowd as the world goes round. So you're right, step on that gas and keep going!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Making good use of your extra time I see.

Ever since I've focused on engagement my posts have had way more interaction. I can't say that always results in the highest payout, but I really enjoy it when people actually choose to consume the things that I take the time to create.

Some people may be asleep if you always post in the morning. Then by the time they wake up, their feed is full of other new content and they may miss what you posted. Varying when you post can be quite a tactical move.

At start it always get difficult and you'll feel like quit but if you give it a try to be consistent and be an active fish I'm sure you'll have a successful journey on hive blockchain.

Thanks for sharing friend

I was lost at first and struggled to figure out what I wanted to do and how to turn that into success. After many years of continuous production, this stuff is just another part of my day now and I enjoy it a lot.

Hi @daltono
Thanks.
I was trying to encourage someone who is experiencing the emotional rollercoaster of 10 dollar posts and ten cent posts, to hang in there, just keep posting, and perfecting their craft.

And then I saw your post. Perfect timing. You are a big fish, with lots of time here, so what you say holds a lot of weight.

It was just what the doctor ordered, and it helped my friend immensely.

Upvotes like life, are seemingly random.. you go through periods where people upvote you, and then they stop, and later start upvoting you again.

Sometimes you have to step back and remember it’s not always about you, those people could be going through something, and they are busy.

But the only way to consistently be seen is to post, bring value, and interact with people. This is a social network.

By the way, I agree also that the beauty of Hive is you can operate here with only a superficial understanding of it for years, and be successful. Or you can dive down rabbit hole after rabbit hole to your hearts content.

Hive is pretty cool, by the way, nice intro graphic. I understand you majored in graphic design, it shows.

Later,
@shortsegments

I'm glad you saw this and were able to share it with your friend. I know it can be quite frustrating at times since everyone on here has different rates of success. Showing up consistently with a positive attitude is the best way to have a chance to succeed.
