We are working on "Scheduled Publish" for mobile app.
Scheduled Publish
- 3Speak Creator Studio supports uploading a video & publishing it on a scheduled time.
- Even though we support publish later on mobile app, we currently don't have scheduled-publish on mobile-app.
- In order to support it, on mobile app, we'll have 3 options in next release - publish now, publish later & scheduled publish
3Speak Creator Studio API Changes
- To understand, existing "Scheduled Publish" feature, I uploaded a video with a date & time
- After that, I examined mongodb doc
- I also took a look at code which takes care of saving document.
- On top of that, analyzed front-end code which has triggers/scripts to publish scheduled videos.
- After gaining enough understanding, I modified existing API which are there for mobile-app on 3speak creator studio.
- As you can see in the screenshot above, we updated API for encoded video upload.
- In that API, after checking that if account has given posting authority & request has necessary parameters, we set video-document to be scheduled publish.
- Once it's saved, existing front-end scripts will take care of publishing the video on a given date-time.
- APIs are built & deployed.
- Now, we'll switch to 3Speak Mobile App & integrate UX for schedulding the video
