First time I heard about disc golf was around 20 years ago. A brother on the job was telling us about it, said we should join him one of these weekends and explained how you throw frisbees at baskets. "That's it, just throw frisbees in the peace and quiet; drink as much as you want, smoke as much as you want, no one bothers you."

I was like... 'sounds like mind kinda game!'

Getting old is a fear of mine, was it ever yours? I'm in my early 30s and damn i'm starting to take life at a slower pace than i used to. I was never much for partaying or clubbing though so thats a good thing.

I tell ya the spirit of curiosity kinda dampens as you get old and thats a bummer. How do you keep that spark alive?

And about taking naps...people laugh about that but they don't know what wonders it can do for you, after you've bashed yourself from a long ass shift days in a row.

No, I have never been afraid of getting old. So far I have not been afraid of dying, either. That would probably change if I had time to think about it but any time I thought I was going to die, it was always kind of split second and just a "Oh wow, this is how I go out." kind of moment.

I think that not believing in an afterlife helps me deal with life now and also not giving a shit about things I can't control help me to look at each moment as what it is. A moment.

Speaking of moments, we're going to set the tent up at the lake and I will probably do a copper doughnut in the canoe. Then maybe take a nap.
