We have finally left winter! Well... we left about a month ago but it only just feels like it is starting to warm up.
I've been to a few waterfalls off track in the Otway's this year, and was told about this waterfall!
This is Blacks Falls and is about 25 minutes from where I live and about 5 minutes from a really popular waterfall Hopkins Falls.
Blacks Falls actually feeds into Hopkins Falls and looks exactly like a smaller version of that fall, being over 100m wide. This waterfall would be about 30m wide I'm guessing and this is the most water i've ever seen here. When I first started working out what images I would get, I went really close to the edge and got the fist shot with a longer exposure because the water was flowing extremely fast.
This image used two shots to have the flowers and waterfall both in focus. The blending isn't perfect and will be re done if I ever go to print it.
1s allowed me to get the water smooth, without showing the foamy stuff forming at the base which took away from the beauty. This is a super unique area and it's pretty crazy that it is so rarely visited.
I think I have stuffed up the whites a little, so I will probably re edit this was well.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
