My next post from Fraser Island!
Lake Mckenzie is located on Fraser Island, and is a really unique lake because it is completely fresh water, while being on an island made completely of sand.
When you get up close to the lake, you can see that is is completely clear, which is really cool!
It is filled only with rainwater, and while the surrounding coastal locations get about 10 days of rain a year, Fraser Island gets rain for about 140 days! It's pretty crazy to think that there is such a difference when the closest part of the island is only 1km from the mainland.
If it was a really warm day I would've gone for a swim, but it was a bit cool, so I stayed on the shore and took some photos instead.
I hope you enjoy these images!
