My brother got a new lens - Samyang. The parcel arrived, and the new toy was unwrapped and attached to the camera.
"Hey sis, wanna go test it?" - he shouted from the other room.
Damn yeah, I wanna go test it! I am all for testing new toys :D
Shoes on, and I was out within a minute.
I had to stay close to the house as it was getting late and the sun was slowly hiding behind the clouds. The light was still nice and very soft, so it was perfect for the first tests.
A quick few shots to see how it works, and boy.... me likey :)
The few little spring flowers that started to bloom in the garden and some waking-up branches were the main objects. Not a huge variety, but the colours are nice, and with the very low angle, I knew it just had to be good.
Dear sweet mother of all dragons... that lens is so nice! I have a feeling I will be testing it a bit more.
Later.
It is not a bubbly bokeh monster (and I sure like those!), though this type shows up here and there. But it gives this extremely soft and smooth background blur, while the object in focus is very sharp, to the point that I could crop it a lot and make it look almost like if I used a macro lens.
And, of course, the colours. I barely edited the photos. There was not much to do here actually.
Some random fence shots, because why not? :)
