There was so much spring in the last post! And I mentioned I am boycotting summer, so today we will jump right to autumn and enjoy a nice and quiet forest. This one I visit whenever I can when I am in Poland. There are some tracks made for bikes, though I see people walking their dogs often or jogging. Even though it is still a very quiet place.
I am often asked why I go there alone. Well.. because it is nice and quiet and I don't have to talk or listen. Just for a bit. I walk at my pace and where I want. I stop where I want and go back when I have enough. It's just perfect :)
In the fall, though a large part is filled with pines, it turns into a colour fest. Few leafy trees, and all the bushes change colours. The rain and cooler air make the moss so lush and green it feels like walking on marshmallows.
This is the forest with strangely twisted pines. Many of them scattered around. Probably damaged by the wind while they were still young.
The one below I did shoot before. It is still there, slowly sinking under the moss and needles. It will take a while for it to decompose completely, so I am sure I will shoot it again. It is the most twisted of them all :)
Can you tell I like the holy leaves? :p
Some bugs did an awesome job on this lace.
Here is a pink one for a change. Plenty of these around too. The sun was getting lower and clouds were blocking some nice sunlight at this point. Time to go back.
