A long and quite boring highway ride is so much more enjoyable with some drama in the skies.
Just look at what was happening after a nice and sunny day. The few clouds during the day could indicate a nice end of the day, but the coastal weather changes often and it could be one of those boring summer skies with nothing going on, or it could get completely covered with clouds with nothing to look at.
We got a pretty nice mix with some clouds, some plane leftovers and mist in the air after the the recent rains that slowly evaporates in the sun.
Not bad, not bad at all :)
And besides the occasional trees getting on the way it was a joy to shoot too. I had my Tamron with me as I was hoping to catch some birds in the wild (that didn't work out at all) so I could zoom a bit (a lot!) instead of getting huge dark skies. The sun and all that is going on around it so much better that way.
The trees made the sun disappear pretty fast, but the show on the skies kept going on.
I thought that was it. Sun is gone and the darkens finally approached. I turned the camera off and was ready to enjoy the rest of the journey.
But then the trees that were constantly on the way were gone replaced by fields and some smaller shrubs.
Camera back on :)
Few more shots of the sun and the liquid gold it turned the sky into.
And it was gone. Again :p
My batteries also died, so I had no choice than to pack the gear and just stare for a little bit longer.
