On the way to the magic forest where all the cool mushrooms grow I pass a few fields. In the fall, most are already empty, or some dry stems stick out as a reminder of what was growing there before.
But not this one! Oh no....
This one I could smell even before I saw it! The smell of spring flowers. Sweet and fresh.
In September!
I believe this is the culprit. The yellow ones are rapeseed flowers.
This pinkish one could be wild radish (according to good). I am not sure if it is cultivated around and harvested, but it was all over the place.
The seeds, of course, will mature, and in spring they all will sprout again, even if something else is planned to grow on this field. They will behave like weeds :) And I am sure insects and other small creatures that feed on the plant and seed are very happy about it.
Very often I can spot deer and rabbits hopping around. The place is surrounded by forests, and there is plenty of them around.
Behind you can see young trees that grow in front of the woods.
I could spot a few blue lupines as well.
And of course with the blooming, fragrant gorgeousness, we get tons of insects. The day was warm and sunny, and you could hear them buzzing around. Typical spring day :p
The fat, fluffy bumblebees are always my favourite. Harmless if not bothered will just fly from flower to flower and I could watch them do their thing until they decide to fly away.
After I finally passed the blooming paradise, I noticed this little furry creature watching me. Looks like one of my mum's cats, but it is not.
