Since I bought the Canon M50 I had a doubt in my head, and it is to know if there is any difference in color compared to the Canon T6 which was my first camera, for example with the M50 I feel that the colors tend to be redder than with the T6, and today I could check it in the histogram, I had some time without using the T6 and today I used it to make macro photographs and make this comparison.
But first of all, can you notice any difference in color that tells you which photo was taken with the Canon T6 or the M50 from the above pictures?
The first image was taken with the T6 and as we can see it gives me the color temperature of 5350 and the tint at +2, a good white balance for the day profile that I chose, the truth is that from here I am liking the color so much more.
The second photo was taken with the Canon M50 with the same daylight profile, however in the histogram we can see that the temperature is at 5150 and the tint is at +14, and this is how I get the pictures every time I take a photo, I know the two cameras manage color differently, but if we start with a photo that tends to be more red, our eyes get used to the color and we will keep editing this way.
In the end the result for my surprise was quite similar, even with the obvious changes in the white balance, and when I tried to put the T6 settings on the M50 photo I got a much greener result than I expected, all this is a personal practice to understand better how my gear handles the white balance, since many times in the editing I can make mistakes about the colors, it is better to have clear how each of my cameras works, and how they capture the light.
Have you made a comparison between your cameras? Have you ever felt that they capture color differently? Have you ever had problems with color editing when using two different cameras and didn't know why?
