Thanks to God for a day like this that he has given unto us to study and din in his tables. I really want to appreciate all my brethrens for giving me this great previliage to share in God's word.
The topic I will be handling today is called The secret of contentment. And the text is phil"4:10-13 the key verses is 12-13.
Before we go into the main topic for the day, I have little thing to talk about. On the 12th of this month was my birthday that's few days ago and on the eleventh, I called my parents and told them that on the 12th which is my birthday am going to make it a day of fasting and praying just like a personal retreat so they shouldn't bother themselves to call me during that day because my phone will be switched off. My Dad was okay happy about the idea but my Mom asked me one question. She said "Hope you are not angry because you don't have much to celebrate your birthday so you just decided to make it a day of fasting?" I smiled and I told her that I have already concluded it in my mind to fast and seek the face of God and ask him for more strength on the day of my birthday, so she shouldn't be worried about anything. My Dad now took the phone from her and told me about the topic he preached last Sunday in the Church and he sent me the bible verses which am about to share with you. I read it during my studies and it really strengthen me.
Firstly, what is secret? We can say that secret is something that is unknown or haven't been seen by other's.
What is contentment? We can say that it a situation whereby someone is happy or satisfied.
I rejoiced greatly in the Lord, that now at last you have renewed your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned about me before, but you had no opportunity to show it. Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances. I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need. I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.
This is the letter of Paul to the Philippians, telling them how he feel about them.
So many person are in big problem today because they are not contented with what God has given to them, looking at their friends driving fleets of car and spending money the way they like, they feel forsaken by God and they went ahead doing somethings that will yield them quickly money and in that process, they now deviate from the ways of God. Am not saying the to drive on fleets of car is wrong ooh or to enjoy your God giving wealth ooh, but all am saying here is for us to be satisfy with all that God has given to us and pray and work for more to come.

Don't look at others and think that God has forsaken you, look at yourself and compare few years from now and see the great difference in your life. Many of our mates are no more, but God kept us in the land of the living. This more reason why we need to be contented with what we have and thank God for all he has done for us.
I really want to appreciate God for his mercy upon my life and thank him for this community of believers, I also want to appreciate @cyclope he has been a good friend and brother, also my Godmother @lovinglymers she is a woman of good reputation and I appreciate God for her life and am inviting her to join us in this community.
