A true disciple is one who follows the instructions of his master judiciously. He is the one who obeys the teachings of the master very well. Anyone who does not follow the teachings of the one who he claims as his master is not a true disciple. A true disciple understands what his master is teaching. He knows exactly what the master wants him to do.
But we cannot do the will of God if we do not understand what he is instructing us to do. We cannot follow what we do not understand. We cannot perfectly obey what we are not understanding. We cannot please our master if we don't do his biddings perfectly.
The same ideology applies to our walk with God. We must understand him if we must follow his ways. We must understand his commandments if we want to obey him. His words must be clear to use before we can do them.
What we are hearing must be clear to us. How can we understand if we are not listening? We must listen to the words we are hearing. We must listen to receive and assimilate the word of God which we are hearing everything we come to where the Word of God is being taught.
