The explanation made by Bro Eli Soriano in this video is very instructive. It is very instructive because we are living in the days where men believe all sorts of divinations. We should not allow our hearts to be deceived. We are not to believe our ancestors. Divinations are not right. We should not anyway and in anything believe our ancestors. Practicing the cultural practices of believing those who tell us that they hear the voice of the ancestors is wrong. As christians, we are to believe only the Lord Jesus Christ.
We Should Believe On Jesus
Matthew 17:5 (KJV) While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Our Father in heaven, who knows the truth and who is our guide, has shown us who to listen to. We are to listen to Jesus Christ. He is our Teacher whom the Father sent from heaven to come and reveal the truth to us. We should not believe our ancestors. We should believe in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus is the only one who knows the truth. He reveals the truth to us as it is written in the Bible. The word of God is the truth. The Bible is the only source of truth we should believe. This is what Jesus Christ gave to us. Let us stop the practice of listening to our ancestors.
Our Ancestors Will Betray The Truth
Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJV) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Believing our ancestors will betray the truth. It will feel our hearts with illusions. Let us pursue only the truth as revealed in the Bible. Our ancestors will lead us in the wrong direction. Those who claim that they are hearing the ancestors are feeding us with deceptions. Let us build our faith only on the Word of God.
