God's call to serve is an excellent opportunity for us to have God shine through us.
6 In those days, when the number of the disciples was increasing, there arose a murmuring among the Greeks against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution of food. 2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples together and said, "It is not right for us to leave the word of God in order to serve tables. 3 Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men of good report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint to this task. 4 Then we will continue in prayer and in the ministry of the word."
Acts 6:1-4
Throughout the Bible we see how God has called different people to service, sometimes it has been in a dramatic way as for example in the case of Moses when he heard the voice of God from a burning bush, or when the prophet Isaiah had a vision in which he saw a throne in heaven.
While for others the call is simply something that is constantly knocking in the heart, it is like a whisper and so the question arises: how will they hear if no one preaches to them?
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without someone preaching to them?
Romans 10:14
Sometimes people can ignore that call, they can do so by trying to be signs of activities or simply calming it down by giving money. But that call does not simply go out, when you are called by God it is persistent, the will of God is unbreakable and remains firm. We can see this as an example in the life of Jonah that even trying to escape from the call of God is impossible, Jonah had the call to serve and could not escape from it no matter how hard he tried.

The way of serving God, I receive. In obedience to his call, it has as a characteristic that it is not easy, perhaps it is full of problems. But nevertheless the reward that we obtain for serving is greater than any difficulty that may arise and let us remember that the Lord has promised us that he will never leave us nor forsake us. Let us remember the words that Peter gave him assuring him that he would have a much greater return when the investment is in the kingdom.
28 Then Peter began to say to him, “Look, we have left everything and followed you.” 29 Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for my sake and the gospel's sake, 30 who will not receive a hundred times as much now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Mark 10:28-30
Serving God by getting his gospel, spreading it, and making it known to new people is a great opportunity. If God is the one who loves us, we simply must obey and put ourselves in his hands so that he can transform us and bless people through us.

El llamado de Dios a servir es una excelente oportunidad que tenemos para que dios brille a través de nosotros.
6 En aquellos días, como creciera el número de los discípulos, hubo murmuración de los griegos contra los hebreos, de que las viudas de aquellos eran desatendidas en la distribución diaria. 2 Entonces los doce convocaron a la multitud de los discípulos, y dijeron: No es justo que nosotros dejemos la palabra de Dios, para servir a las mesas. 3 Buscad, pues, hermanos, de entre vosotros a siete varones de buen testimonio, llenos del Espíritu Santo y de sabiduría, a quienes encarguemos de este trabajo. 4 Y nosotros persistiremos en la oración y en el ministerio de la palabra.
Hechos 6:1-4
A lo largo de toda la Biblia vemos como Dios ha llamado a distintas personas al servicio, en algunas ocasiones ha sido de forma dramática como por ejemplo en el caso de Moisés cuando escuchó la voz de Dios desde una zarza ardiendo en llamas, o cuando el profeta Isaías tuvo una visión en el que veía un trono en el cielo.
Mientras que para otros el llamado es simplemente algo que está golpeando constantemente el corazón, es como un susurro y así surge esa pregunta ¿cómo es que escucharán si nadie les predica?.
14 ¿Cómo, pues, invocarán a aquel en el cual no han creído? ¿Y cómo creerán en aquel de quien no han oído? ¿Y cómo oirán sin haber quien les predique?

En algunas ocasiones las personas pueden ignorar ese llamado, pueden hacerlo tratando de estar signos de actividades o simplemente calmándolo por medio de dar dinero. Pero ese llamado no se apaga sencillamente, cuando esté llamado de parte de Dios es persistente, la voluntad de Dios es inquebrantable y permanece firme. Podemos ver esto como ejemplo en la vida de Jonás que aún intentando huir del llamado de Dios es imposible, Jonás tuvo el llamado a servir y no pudo escapar de ello por más que lo intento.

Camino del servicio a Dios, recibo. En obediencia a su llamado, tiene como característica que no es fácil, quizás esté lleno de problemas. Pero sin embargo la recompensa que obtenemos por servir son mayores que cualquier dificultad que se pueda presentar y recordemos que el señor nos ha prometido que nunca nos dejará ni desamparará. Recordemos las palabras que le dio Pedro asegurándole que tendría un rendimiento mucho mayor cuando la inversión sea en el reino.
28 Entonces Pedro comenzó a decirle: He aquí, nosotros lo hemos dejado todo, y te hemos seguido. 29 Respondió Jesús y dijo: De cierto os digo que no hay ninguno que haya dejado casa, o hermanos, o hermanas, o padre, o madre, o mujer, o hijos, o tierras, por causa de mí y del evangelio, 30 que no reciba cien veces más ahora en este tiempo; casas, hermanos, hermanas, madres, hijos, y tierras, con persecuciones; y en el siglo venidero la vida eterna.
Marcos 10:28-30
Servir a Dios llegando su evangelio, propaganda y haciendo que este sea conocido por nuevas personas es una gran oportunidad. Si Dios es quien nos ama nosotros simplemente debemos obedecer y entregarnos en sus manos para que nos transforme y bendiga a las personas a través nuestro.
