BEING BABTIZED TWICE, IS IT BIBLICAL? || THE OLD PATH

The idea of being baptized twice is something many Christians think about, especially as they grow in their faith. Baptism is a powerful symbol of turning away from sin and choosing to follow Jesus. It’s a public declaration that you’ve decided to give your life to Him.

Ephesians 4:5, “One Lord, one faith, one baptism.”

This verse reminds us that baptism is meant to happen once, as a sign of joining God’s family. But there’s an interesting story in Acts 19:1-7, where Paul baptized some people again because their first baptism wasn’t based on faith in Jesus. This shows that being baptized a second time might make sense in certain cases.

Some people feel the need to get baptized again because they didn’t fully understand the meaning the first time. Maybe they were baptized as a baby or before they truly believed in Jesus. While baptism is important, it’s not what saves us—our faith in Jesus does.

Titus 3:5 says, “He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of His mercy.”

Baptism is a way to show others what God has already done in your life.

If you’re thinking about being baptized again, take time to pray and talk to someone you trust, like a pastor. The most important thing isn’t how many times you’ve been baptized but that your heart is fully committed to Jesus. What matters is living every day for Him and letting your life reflect His love and grace.
