It was a great time in the presence of God as I was privileged to participate in the MCGI Mass Indoctrination held via zoom. The teaching of the doctrines of Christ is taught by Bro Eli.
Important lessons learned from the teachings
We still continued the teaching about prayer and how it should be done, but this time will added fasting to it as part of the doctrine of Christ.
Bible verses: Matthew 5:28, Hebrews 13:4, 1Peter 3:6,2:14, 1Corinthians7:14, 11:8, Proverbs 18:22, Colossians 3:19, Luke 1:5.
Prayer and fasting is very important in the life of a Christian, it is the period when we spend our time only with God and cast all our problem to him. Whenever we want a change in our lives, prayer and fasting is one of the best way to make this happen.
We are to abstain from all kinds of unholy things during the period of prayers and fasting. Husbands should not engage in any sexual relationship with their wives, and also the wife do the same to your husbands.
Wives should submit to their and husbands, and the husband submit to your wife. The wife should not deny her husband her body because he is the owner, unless during prayer and fasting when they are to temporarily abstain from each other, afterwards they should come together again and reunite in one.
A woman should not expose her body, because her body is the temple of God. We find so many woman exposing there body to the public today, that is why we find so many rape and abuse case.
A man should not look at a woman lustfully, because the Bible says he who look at a woman and lust after her in his heart has already committed fornication and adultery. It is a sin to lust after a woman in your heart.
The Man is the head of the family the way Christ is the head of church. A man should always take care and provide for the family because it his duty.
woman was created for the man, not man for the woman. A man should always take the responsibility of his family and should not leave it for the wife. You are to provide and watch over your family because the role of a man is like a president of his house.
If a man has a long hair, it is a shame to him. A man is expected to cut his hair short and is prohibited to grow a long hair. A woman is expected to cover her head, because it is a sign of authority that she is under her husband and Christ, and Christ is also the head of man therefore should not cover his head because it shows dishonour to God who is his head.
Husband love and respect your wives, do not beat or maltreat your wife for any reason, always take good care of her, let your love don't die for her. Wife should also take care of her body so that her husband will be attracted to her, cleanliness is next to Godliness.
When you live a righteous and a goodlife, your children will also emulate and live that same life, but when we live an evil and unholy life, your children will end up doing the wrong and evil things when they grow up. God help us as we live according to his doctrines.
