Hello everyone, I am delighted to write and share with you all this write-up which is drafted from a video I was sent to watch and learn from. I hope that you will learn something from it. The topic for today is "Depression and anxiety — how to overcome these biblically (Part 3 of 3) | The Old Path".
From the beginning of the video, Brother Eli stated "God cares for us more than we can care for ourselves." Not one of us shall die without the will or the concern of God. Let us be preoccupied by what is coming forth after death.
If we die in faith, we will have peace in heart and in mind. Brother Eli advised us to have faith in God so we can have a peaceful death. We should know that God is a miracle maker and, but we should not just put all of our believe waiting for the miracle of God. Even the first century Christians did not all expect a miracle. They also died and the performer of the miracle also died.
Job did not suffer depression. He accepted his faith wholeheartedly. From the book of Job 2:9-10 "Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God and die. But he said unto her, Thou speaketh as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive goo at the hand of God, and shall we never receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips."
We should not put the blame on God, whenever something happens to us. We should instead believe that he is the compassionate God. Job and David did not suffer depression. They suffer the pain of injury, and the trusting of the pledge of depression.
From the book of 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you." This verses teaches how God cares for us, and we should bring out our calamities and anxieties to him. We should note that God knows everything that we do in this world. God cares for us more than we can care for ourselves and in that we should submit all our worries and anxieties to him alone.
Thank you all for your time and attention. See you all another time in my subsequent post.
