Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of brother Eli on our Bible study held on zoom
It is not everyone that call God knows him, but if those that call God knows him then the Bible said, even everyone that called by my name, for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him and have made him. When we call call God as his children and as righteous ones here he said he created us for his glory so I understand that we must do everything we do for the glory of God for he has made us for his own glory. He takes glory when he sees his children called by his name it gives him joy and impressive to see us call his name been righteous and Holy. The Bible said do not call the name of the Lord in vein, it is a sin to call the name of the Lord in vein so let’s not call the name for no reason so that when there’s need for his name and we call he will answer
Isaiah 43:7 I understand in this scripture that. Everyone that is right with God that is obeying his commandment and doctrine is meant to give him glory
ISAIH 43:5;6 This portion of the Bible tells us that God loves Israelite and he’s talking to them here and said to them, fear not for I am with thee, I will bring thy seed form the East and gather them from the West, this is a complete assurance of God, he assured them his word that he is going to bring them from the East and gather them from the west. He also said I will say to the North give up, and to the north keep not back, bring my sons from and my daughters from the end of the earth
DANIEL 9:19 this scripture tells explains to us that God likes to be Called by his name for something reasonable not when it is not necessary, if we call God in a serious issues he will surely show up. Here the Bible said O Lord forgive, O lord hearken and do, defer not, for thine own sake O my God for thy city and thy people are called by thy nam, God takes glory when the righteous man call his name.
Today I learned that the name Christ was given to him by God, Jesus inherited the best name by his father. So if you we know the importance and respect the name has we will not call the name when it is not needed because his name is his power and for the power to work for us we must respect the name and use it in right time. When we use the name of God for jokes when we need him the name will not be available to answer us so we must be careful how we use the name of God
