These are the lessons I learnt from the teachings of Brother Eli on our Mass indoctrination day 13
I learnt that there are two types of sin. Firstly a sin that is unto death and a sin that is not into death. A sin that is not unto death can be forgiven by God but, if the sin is unto death it cannot be forgiven by God.
Mark 3:29 This portion of the Bible is telling us about sinning against the holy spirit. Is it explains to us that anyone that says bad things against the Holy spirit will never be forgiven because sining against the holy spirit is an eternal sin.
For example if a brother commit a sin in the church and he has be cautioned once and then he does the same sin again and was still cautioned and forgiven and then he does it again for the third time such person should be expelled from the church. Because if you do not expell the person from the church he can influence other member negatively. As the saying goes 'Evil communication corrupt good manners.
If you did not intentionally commit a sin that is unto death you can be forgiven but if you are aware of it but you neglected and did it you cannot be forgiven
Another sin that is unto death is eating things that is being offered to idols. As christians we should abstain from things offered to idols no matter how hungry we are at that point. When a food is offered to idols the holy spirit forbids us to eat such food.
We should also abstain from straggled animals we should not eat such animal because their blood was not poured. We should only eat meat that we killed by ourselves. Eating animals that we don't know how come about their death is a sin unto death. Before we eat any animal the blood should be poured on the ground. And idoletry. Idoletry is kneeling down to worship or serve any other god, it is an abomination before God according to the Bible. The only one we should worship and now down to is God. Not angels, not mary, not man or any false God
Revelation 22:8-9 In this scripture john bowed down to an angel when John was about to worship him the angel cautioned him not to do it because even angels are servants of God and should not be worshipped.
Acts 15:28This scripture is telling us that the holy spirit did not put too much burden on us. It's just some few necessary ones
God also prohibit us to eat blood because blood is a sacred thing.
Leviticus 17:11 This scripture tells us about how sacred blood is.
They are pastors who preaches what they do not practice to their members in church. They are hypocrites because they are pretend to be living a life they don't practice.
Romans 2:20-21 This scripture is talking about such people. They preach to others not to steal but they steal why can't you teach yourself not to steal since you are already aware of the knowledge why don't yourself as well.
After baptism we are going to become a new creature and receive the holy spirit our body then becomes a temple of the holy spirit
2 Corinthians 5:17 This scripture explaining to us that any man who joins christ becomes a new being.
Romans 6:4 This scripture tells us that when we baptize we will be buried with Christ and share his death. So just as Christ resurrected from death by the power of God the father we might also live a new life in Christ.
