For the quest to get gray hair, I bleached parts of my hair 3 times now. Yet, instad of getting the actual gray hair, well, let’s just say It didn’t go well 😅. I suppose just like @gtg said, it won’t be too long until I’ll naturally cover my hair with gray hahaha

I know, I should have done it professionally for any desired result but you know, curiosity killed the cat has always been my thing. Unless I can’t do it myself, I’d get it done somewhere. This time, it's for real, I need to get it done professionally if I ever want a real ash gray/platinum hair.

In the span of two weeks, I went through 3 phases of hair and today my hair is like this on the very right side.

During my second attempt, I got a comment from @shmoogleosukami too and that’s when I attempted doing it again. That was when I bleached my hair, color fix it again for the last time.

Somehow, I started getting comments like “ it looks gray and I can’t tell what color is your hair anymore” and I stopped. This is how it looks now with natural light vs under the light.

Now, I am trying to heal my hair again since it got bleached and I needed to fix it. I like the color for now, so I won’t be trying platinum & will do it professionally 😀thankfully, I didn’t do my whole hair cause that would’ve been a complete disaster. Just look at how it looks now haha but that's gonna take another months of healing this hair and fixing it.

In the process, I somehow geeked around hair and learned about bleach fails. Let’s just say, in the end, I learned something from this failed hair attempt.

Honestly, your hair doesn't look bad, but I understand that you don't like it, and when your hair is bleached, it is very damaged (I know this from my own experience), but it is possible to fix it.

hahaha yeah, I am currently fixing it, thankfully it's not the whole hair.

Doing this professionally will definitely get you the result you want. Although I think the gold color suits you very well

Thank you! it's too bright but maybe after a few wash, they'd turn black again haha

Yeah😅

Hola. Debo decirte que yo también juego con mi cabello. Me hago yo misma las cosas. Eso me hace sentirme bien.

Si, quizás no resulta del todo bien, pero me siento bien. Todo es un proceso y estamos aprendiendo. Saludos y bendiciones.

So true! everything is a process and I ended up learning many things :D

They all teach you something! I remember one time I was trying to dye my hair pink and I dunno what happened, but a lot of it was falling out while rinsing. I ran outta the bathroom shouting "I'm bald, I'm bald" and crying. Took my brother forever to calm me the f down and prove that in fact I wasn't :)))

Gray is hard as hell to do (though I woulda tried it by myself too!) and requires a lot of maintenance if it's not natural. Would definitely consider a salon if you're hell-bent on it or, as Gandalf wisely (as ever) pointed out, wait a while :D

The color you got now is lovely! It's an interesting combination and seems to suit you (it doesn't everyone) :D

hahaha, I think your hair couldn't stand chemicals? I honestly think coloring our hair does damage than good but I can't lie, it's fun and it's something I enjoy doing 😄

My mom laughed at me and I told her that she already has the hair I wanted, a gray highlight with black. And told me that she can't pull it off because she's old, honestly she can do that :D

Also, thank you! I thought to just dye it brown but I can settle with it for now, It doesn't look that bad :D

The two tone look suits you well. :D

The sheer pain in the arse that is getting gray/platinum hair is the main reason I never really went through with it after I had done my research about getting it done myself.

I'm fortunate though that my family has a trait on my fathers side of our hair going gray by our early to mid 40s, hopefully I inherited this and get to be gray sooner rather than later.

I'm a hive witness supporting the blockchain please consider voting for me.

You're fortunate if you wanted gray highlight. It does look cool but yeah, I have strong genetic of dark hair, my dad and their family side don't really have gray hair even if they're like 70 and no balding either. So, it's gonna be a little while before I actually going to achieve those result haha.

What a laugh Mac 😅, one over here trying to cover gray hair and you trying to have silver gray hair hehehe, the ironies of life 🙃, although I remember when I was about your age I wanted to have blue hair on the bottom, I never made the change and always regretted it. I wish you good luck in your trip to the professional, anyway I can tell you that blonde is not bad for you. Either way you look good.

life is full of ironies 😄 maybe you should try dying your hair! I mean blue would look good on you or pink! anything raspberry colored as well. Somehow, I always associate blond with being tacky, it's why I tried my best to avoid it but here I am!

I like the way it looks now, I hope it doesn't get damaged too much, because those treatments are strong but if you moisturize it often it won't look ugly.

My hair went silver, faster than expected at 35 I had to cover my gray hair and at 38 I lost the battle, neither my hair nor my wallet could take it anymore, so I gave up and luckily silver hair started to become fashionable, so I got into the trend, I hope this trend lasts for a long time.

They still ask me what number or dye I use, hehehe I am lucky in that sense and the best thing is that I learned to love my gray hair, since my whole family is like that, we are like snowflakes with the difference is that they are blond with colored eyes and I am a brunette.

Maybe you will get gray hair or maybe you won't, I think your race is dark haired until old age. @macchiata

hahahaa yeah, my dad side of family don't really have much of silver hair even when they're above 70. If they have it's very minimal. Isn't it nice that it's a trend? even for my mom she can't believe it's a trend to have hair like her haha.

I think you should love your gray hair, I mean look at me, I wanted to have gray hair :D and looks like I just have to wait for them naturally!
