SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE (NEW CARD SET, NEW DISCOVERY)

in #hive-18430918 days ago

We are just 5 days into the beginning of a new season, last season I still finished in gold II and must admit, wasn’t really happy about it. I think it’s probably the reason I haven’t been really motivated to play much this season. However, at the end of last season I decided my card collection needed an upgrade as I also wanted to increase my power in the game. I got a lot of new cards from the glints store, ranging from common, rare, and epic, most of which were soulbond cards. I also added a new set of gladiator cards to my collection. Even though I overspent, I was happy to see some of my cards in level 3 and level four respectively.

When I say I overspent, I’m talking about spending over 200 thousand glints which was technically all I had then. I might be doing something similar at the end of this season so that I can start playing with my own cards at max level soon enough. It was interesting to have gotten over 300 new common cards and over 100 new rare cards. I also purchased a lot of the major and ultimate chest which provided me with some cool sets of epic cards and some gold foil cards too. I hope that before December I can build a complete set capable of competing alone.

Now talk about game play as you can see I’ve played 38 games winning 20 of them, but that means I lost about 17 of them being that I’ve only had one draw this season. My level of game play has been low but I will try to put more effort into playing more and also try to win as much as I can So I can continue to purchase new cards at the end of the season. However One of the games that was an eye opener for me this season was when I had finally understood the symbol for speed. It funny how I hadn't been paying attention to it before now and now it seems it’s all I can think about

I can’t believe it never dawned on me that this is the symbol for speed

BATTLE LINK

Even after reading about it countless times, it still feels unreal that I never knew about it. You will find me wishing I knew where to find out the level of speed of all my monsters meanwhile it was just staring me in the face. In this battle I ensured that I did not use less than 3 speed, whereas, my opponent had more monsters with speed. This simply ment that my monsters get to attack first and even though I know the majority already knew this, I’m happy to be knowing about it. But damn, why didn’t I know sooner. Well I won the game at the end of the day seeing my opponent’s monsters were too dead to fight back.
