SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE (TURNING THE TIDES)

in #hive-1843094 hours ago

It’s another week of the Splinterlands Social media challenge and I will say it’s been a really fun week and this time around it isn’t a bluff. Not as if I have been bluffing the other times I said it’s been a fun week, this time it has just been better. Okay so I said last week that even though it’s been hard I still hoped I will reach the championship league by the end of the season. And now that I am halfway through the season, I can see that dream becoming a reality as I am currently in the Diamond III and with seven days remaining to end the season I think it will be challenging, but possible. I used the first week of gaming to get my hands dirty and figure out ways to grow and I did. Although in the process I encountered several losses, in recent times my winnings have improved tremendously.

Currently I stand at 221 Battles and 109 wins which has taken my winning percentage to 49.3%. Which is better than it was last week at 48% win rate. My gaming experience has improved significantly and having learned from a lot of my losses, I am slowly implementing the knowledge gained especially when playing with high card users who bring out formations in ways I can’t begin to imagine. When I think I have a good formation, I just see something that changes the tide of the game and makes me lose. Well I have also been able to turn the tide on my own side in the last three days and I must say It’s been pretty awesome. I don’t know how exactly, but I seem to be more precise with my formations in recent times. I think that is what happens when you have lost a lot.

These days I have been trying out ways to harm my opponents so much that they become incapacitated throughout the game. For example, If I use a summoner that adds two speed to my monsters, I can then add an extra two monsters with the swift abilities while also making sure I use monsters that are at least 3 speed. This way I raise up the speed of all my monsters to four. So if I am fighting against my opponent, I would be fighting at a speed of 7 - 9 and sometimes 10 depending on the natural speed of that monster. And if the monster should have ranged attack ability, Their speed could reach 14 or 15 in a very short amount of time if they are hit.

This also goes when I use a summoner that removes speed from my opponent, I try to add at least two monsters with similar abilities which makes them too slow to do anything and might be dead before they get a chance to act back. Sometimes it is also tricky and a pro could still pull out a win over you, I still don’t understand the whole aspect of how it works, so I can’t give advice on what to do. But I got some cards too with very low speed, I mean Speed as low as one which has helped me whenever I am faced with a slow ruleset. I have also discovered that slow monsters tend to have very high attack damage, So I only use them when I want to fight in the slow ruleset, or when I want to add speed to them so they have an equal fighting chance.

Truth be told the splinterlands game is very unpredictable, but that’s just what makes it fun and if you think you will like to try out all the amazing experiences, feel free to join in here
