Well, the live stream was quiet yesterday but went off really well, I thought I would do a nice break down of the @helpie-caster brawl from this week.
For anyone not familiar with a guild brawl check this out. It is a really good post and breaks down what they are and more about them.
When it came to the fray I was able to pick pretty much any one I wanted as the guild is not very active on freys. I would like to see this slowly change as the guild gets more active that is for sure.
As can be seen, we both went with a heavy earth magic lineup. I decided even without healing the golem is a very useful tank with 2,3,9. After the first round, I pretty much knew it was going to be a loss. With the gloom getting taken out too fast it left the rest of my team open.
With battle I was worried I would get rocked the second I saw yodin, This card is one of if not the best summoner in the game. Lucky for me this battle was the no summoner buffs, So I am not actually sure why they even took a mana summoner with no benefit.
In the end, as yodin had no buffs I was able to take him out along with the other fire monsters.
Battle 3
Was a bust, The opponent left the battle with no monsters, So auto win for me
Water vs Water is always going to be a good heavy battle, With the DIJJN and the Sea Monster at the front we knew right away it was going to be a hard-fought battle.
In the end, the only monster that could hold off my water team was the gladius monster RELENOR CLEAVER. The blood lust and high armor I just couldn't get it done.
Rule Set - Blast, Meele Mayham
With battle 5 it was another Water VS Water battle, This time I picked my DIJNN and it was up against a serpent of eld. With River Hallandale, it is a game-changing card. Bringing back a monster after death can to me change the whole outcome even more so if it can be healed. After the axe master came back it was all up to blast to kill off the rest of the team.
Battle 6
This one was an Earth VS Earth battle, This is always an interesting battle. We got a mylor vs a Obsidian, With unicorns in the first spots. After my unicorn got taken out I noticed I didn't have my cards in the right spots. I ended up with my healer in second but wanted it third or fourth. Lucky for me the healer was able to hold off with the health and keep healing to bring in the win after it did die.
Rule Set - No Healing
With battle seven it was another Earth VS Earth battle, Same summoners as the last but a different lineup. IN the first spots we had necter Queen VS THe Unicorn mustang. This was a no healing battle but even with that, I was able to pound them with high and heavy magic attacks to take the win.
Ok so with the battle I choose fire summoner, which allowed me to put the Cerberus with healing in the tank spot. Now, this was going against one of the hardest fire monsters called living lava. With shield, it is hard to beat with any melee attacks or ranged. But looking at the placement of my cards you can see why I lost. I should have had the range in fifth or sixth with ant miners in second. This is a prime example why card placement makes a massive difference.
Battle 9
Was a no show again so a nice easy win.
