For those of you that didn’t know already, I am travelling. I am on a cruise with my family and I am gonna take you along with me during the coming days.
This is what the first day of your cruise looks like.
You enter the city of your harbour of departure , for us Miami Florida at least one day before your cruise starts. Than you take a cab and gather your suitcases to go to the ship. The cruise starts at the dock. For us as said the departure harbour is Miami, so we came from south beach with a cab.
This is what de first day of our cruise as a family of 6 looks like.
After the cab takes the route to the harbour the big ships give the best view. They all await the passengers gang will sail with them. The harbour of Miami is huge.
Once you get to the terminal, and choose the right company you sail with , you give your suitcases to the pier workers which will deliver the suitcases to your cabin door within the next few hours. You have to put special tags on the suitcases with name and cabin number.
We all sorted the things we needed for the boarding day and put that in our hand luggage and handbags. This is the luggage you take with you by hand and keep with your. Once you are in the terminal, you go through security ( this time very smoothly and quick ) and than the best part comes, you walk up the gangway and board the cruise ship.
For us this time it’s the Seascape by MSC
The Seascape is beautiful. This is not our first time on a ship by MSC so we know a few things and that helps when you want to navigate on the ship. You usually board the ship around lunch time, so you’re probably going to be hungry. There is always a buffet so you can grab a bite from the cafe, buffet or restaurant. You might even grab a drink in one of the bars in or outside while you wait for your cabin to be ready. You’re probably also want to do some exploring of the ship. The ships are huge, so adventures are on the rise.
Then your cabin is usually ready. Maybe, your suitcases also have been arrived. Your cabin is usually ready around between 12 and 1 o’clock, so you can get yourself situated and unpacked. You might even want to do some activities, because on day 1 it isn’t very crowded because people re coming g on the ship and need to arrangement many things. So the activities are the least busy on day 1. However, the first day before the ship departs, you need to complete the mandatory safety drill. After all that done, it’s recommended going to the sailing away party for fun and relaxation.
We did Ofcourse! After that, you usually have dinner and check out some entertainment in one of the shows. If you aren’t tired yet , I think you are wonder women or man because I was beat. So we’re the kids , for us that was the time to go to bed, and think about the things that we will be doing tomorrow. After all, our cruise starts now!
And I will take you with me on my adventures.
Until we read again, Thanks for stopping by,
